"Sadly we don't have the exact time, I will send to everyone what we have."

<<Northern Redmond, January 12th 2076, evening
Puyallup, January 13th 2076
Future X genetics, January 14th 2076>>

"By the way I haven't looked more into that Future X genetics, does it ring a bell to anyone? I expect they run some experiment on pixie snack but it could be a cover for vamps as well."

<<Yeah, taking the rigger out isn't the problem, but taking him out at a moments notice and without attracting immediate attention is.
But that's actually a bit academic at the moment. With this schedule we have to get into position now, unless our three angels Simone, Nyx and Gem can bug the couriers in a timely fashion. Which probably means we can't fetch those Hazmat suits before it's to late.>>

Xander raises his eyebrow quizzically and say, "Well, thanks- I'm a bit rusty in that department., but, ummm, I'll go over and give it a try."

Going over to the alter, Xander gives a quick visual inspection but sees no built in commlink or any other input device for that matter. Well here's hoping she ain't just pulling my leg, he thinks to himself. Getting down on his knees he whispers, "Here I am Zen. Come out. come out, wherever you are- pretty please."Hopefully, there's a hidden mic somewhere and they got the message.

@Xander You see a transparent nature nymph around you, that appears like an elf with a greenish skin. Her body is covered with white flowers and green leafs. "I was right here waiting for you,you have eyes and yet you did not use them.  It was I who summoned you here through the one you call Enigma, people call me Zen and I call this place home."

@Simone, Nyx the drive to the meet goes smoothly it is almost too easy - perhaps because of the hour. As the sun begins to set the streets all become empty. Few people dare to venture at night time, and at 17:00'ish the smart people are already making the necessary arrangements to get into their holes for the night.

"Well to be honest Miss Zen, churches often got lots of activity going on if you open up your minds eye. And some of it can be pretty darn creepy. So I try to leave them to their lonesome and hope for a reciprocal gesture of good faith from them too. But, I digress. I am sure that you didn't contact me to idle about my slight aversion to Church domains 'as it were'."

As Xander starts to rise, he continues, "It is ok if I get up from this kneeling position, right? No skin off my nose if you want me to continue to genuflect."

@Xander She said "Just talk to me with your third eye and we can do so anywhere you like, if you dislike Churches we can go to the forest in the back. You might have noticed that this place is no longer a church anyhow. "

Simone drives carefully, but with purpose, arriving at the meeting place a few minutes early.  She and Nyx need to wait for Gem, now, but they can get ready.  Simone opens the hidden compartments and gets her Mossberg out and ready and takes up the large war ax, hefting it and placing it to the side before looking over at Nyx.  "We still did not decide if I am your partner, bodyguard, or lover.  What do you want me to be?  I am good as either of those as long as it does not involve having to talk much."

Maxwell didn't follow Kynos back inside the school.  He still stood outside in the empty parking lot.  Watching the cold sun begin it's descent through the northern sky.  A celestial marking of his limited consciousness and his elemental's limited service.  Pulling out his commlink, he reads through the barrage of messages the other runners have made and fired off at each other.  Without a direct neural interface or image link he couldn't respond to them without a commlink or similar electronic.  Such is the numerous tolls of magic.  To have to forgo even the simplest of augmentations.  Else one's magical ability would be severely reduced.  Thus defeating the whole point of being Awakened.

Maxwell types up his response and sends it to the rest on the line.  <<Don't forget, I only saw a handful of guards stationed at the farm.  I still have no clue as to where the rest of the mercs are.  Also, there isn't much I or a spirit could do if the rigger in question is hunkered down in an underground bunker.  The world is just as solid on the material plane as it is in the Astral.  My elemental would have to materialize first and physically walk underground to the rigger if he's being kept beneath the earth.  Another option is that I can destroy the antenna that guides the drones.  Effectively crippling their defenses.  Otherwise I need to do more recon in a few hours.>>

Irritated at his ignored command.  Maxwell calls forth his unbound spirit once more before the sun fades into black.  "I know you're excited that you get to leave home soon but I still have one more service from you.  Appear before me so I might discuss a few things before you depart.  I need advice."

@Maxwell the spirit asks surprised "Advice, what kind of advice?." He does not manifest and just lingers in the astral next to you unless you force him to do so by expanding a service. Perhaps he is stalling.

@Xander The astral of this place is spectacular, the old wood is soaked with awakened moss and is colorful and alive - it also protect it from astral forms entering and leaving. No wonder a spirit takes residence there it is the perfect place to hide. Yet that kind of moss is usually kept to high security facilities not to provocative brothels. "I contacted you because there is an angry fire spirit roaming the city. It was summoned by this no good conjurer and has broken free. I need you to pacify it somehow, either banish it or reason with it. Do not disrupt it  as that fate it would get for free - I pay you to do better job.  I would have done so myself, but she is considerably stronger than myself and I would not dare to directly approach her at this emotional state. Should she stay here she would make a formidable ally and this is the desired outcome.

The spirit is possessing a young lady, an horizon middle ranked manager. She is unaware of the lady's importance - I want the lady unharmed. You'll also have to be quick because I assume that Horizon already have their teams looking for her. Think about a completely clueless entity with supreme power but very little knowledge about this world. She is dangerous unpredictable and loud. I can pay you 3k if you banish the spirit and 6k she decides to stay do not bother coming back if you disrupt it - that kind of behavior I expect from Horizons goon but not from a conjurer. I hope that these sums are reasonable in human terms. I am not very good at it."

@Morgoth - "I'm standing upon an ill-fated precipice.  One wrong move and I fall to my death, or worse.  I've been tricked into a pact with ant spirits.  Or more like forced into one by a mage more twisted and insane than me.  While I has hiding myself from the Red Queen, I did some research on Chicago and on the nature of bugs in general.  I've seen the ruins of that once proud city.  It was completely overtaken by all manner of fiendish insect spirits.  Little to nothing could halt their advance.  They swarmed and swarmed and swarmed.  Overpowering everything and everyone in their wake.  What disgustingly foul creatures they are.

I bring this up because I soon will allow them an entryway into this world.  If not, I die.  Those were the terms of the contract.  Tell me... what should I do?  What am I to do?  If I bridge the gap between this plane and theirs, will I have doomed this city?  Is there no other way?"

@Maxwell Morgoth "if you are looking for saving this world then die but you can also let them in the city and watch the city burn as you indulge in your quest for power. If you look to break the contract you need a powerful circle of conjurers that are mystically linked to each other. Without understanding your motivations it is difficult to say more ."
It is evident that the spirit sees this answer as a service.

Grimacing, he reflects on what he's been told.  "Kill myself?  Save Seattle?  To what end?  What has this world brought me but pain, suffering and misery?  Let it all rot and burn!  And from it's ashes I shall rise even stronger.  Even wiser.  I'll take everything I am owed and more.  I will turn this city into a necropolis.  Filled with countless dead.  No way am I going to work with the likes of Grail or that demented she-elf.  I'll annihilate them instead."

To his spirit, a final farewell.  "Thank you, old one.  I now see I having nothing to despair.  The Ants hold no true sway over me.  They are but pawns to me now.  Insignificant as the insects they are.  You have done enough.  Return home."

Maxwell leaves the parking lot and rejoins the rest inside the school.  To Jack he poses the question.  "Do you mind if I stay here for a month?  I'll pay you the cost of room and board.  And I'll fill you in about all the details regarding Vixen."

[Noëmie "Nyx" d'Orville - January 12th, 2076 - On the way to the Pixie Farm, Seattle]

Noëmie looks at Simone, then back at the road "I'm hoping  to convince whoever is in charge to let us in the farm, where we can "inspect" the cultivation process or whatever. To that end, you could be some kind of medical advisor or something like that. It should allow you to poke in some places, and hopefully find interesting stuff. Even if it doesn't, it has the advantage that it's not too far from your realm of expertise, and you won't have to play a role. When you want to lie, the closest you stick to the truth, the better it works."

Xander assesses the mental construct to gauge it's power.

Unless it's manipulating its power signature, this mental construct is a little bit weaker than the ones I can create without starting to take physical damage. If the other construct is a bit stronger, I can take it on no problem. Significantly stronger, and I can't. Hmmm? Decisions, decisions. I wouldn't take this normally, but well, I'm short on next month's rent. I can always use one of my constructs to disrupt it and get zero pay if the drek hits the fan. I wish the Johnson would just show his face and not use this construct as a go between. But for all I know, it's some latent that doesn't know he's awakened and is creating this construct subconsciously. What did dad use to say- cake or death? Yeah, that's it. Hoping this turns out cake.

Xander licks his lips while not realizing he does so and begins to speak: "Well Miss Zen, I think I'm leaning towards taking this job. Two things- do you know if the mage used a ritual to summon the, umm, spirit before he tried binding it? Cause that would mean the mage has a 'True Name' which I could exact from him or her, or it, whatever the case may be. Well, assuming the mage is still alive to tell me. Second, any ideas where the target is?"
