"Eh, not much of a problem. I've seen - or rather didn't see - how Sovereign used his invisibility spell and spirit powers to make others virtually undetectable. As long as there are no dual-natured critters or guards around that should be enough to get three infiltrators inside and into the control room. Once there, we can use the defenses of the site against them, lock in their reinforcements and clean up the lower levels.

Once we have the control room secured the top site team can start the assault on their assets there - that should create enough confusion to prevent them from organizing their defenses."

"Invisibility should help but do not forget that they have a mage. Sovereign will need to get down there to help deal with him.

Irris I've seen that you know a thing or two about computer, do you think you would be able to take control of their defenses? I could probably do it but I don't think I would be as useful as you to deal with the guards down there."

Sovereign or myself should be with each group to deal with magical threats.  The rigger should be with the group taking the control room. says Ayato picking at his food.

"Keep in mind that once they've seen through my disappearing act there'll be a mass call to arms.  Assuming they live long enough to see anything.  Because nothing makes security more scared shitless than a spell or two.  Like you've already mentioned, we'll be fine as long as they don't have too many paracritters on astral overwatch.  Otherwise we are going to end the night in blood and drek."

I think I would be better suited to Sniper and overwatch.  I can join the team going down but I don't think that would be the best use of me.  Part of that will depend on my scouting after we do this though.  I thought we needed specific information from Sovereign specifically before we did that.

"The mage is a problem. I'd suggest finding his location and taking him out with a discreet first strike. Something to knock him out so it looks as if he's just astrally projecting. If you can tell me where to find him, I can take care of him."

Returning to his chaotically prepared meal, Maxwell resumed gorging himself on bacon and sausage alike.  Stopping to look up only when he heard his named invoked again.  This time by the other she-elf.  He grabs another glass of orange juice and chugs it down to clear his throat.  Afterwards his lips begin to part into a malicious grin.  Half revealing rows of teeth that are oddly enough, sharp and straightened.  "Sorry love.  Hunger got the better of me and I nearly forgot my findings.  The drone-controlling antenna fore mentioned sits mounted atop a giant tower.  Lying in the middle of the farm surrounded by lush trees and greenhouses.  What I propose is an alternate way of going about this.  Instead of skulking about like rats trying to find some hole to crawl ourselves into.  We could conduct the raid with a midnight strike.  Starting with me lighting up that tower and knocking out their drone support.  Followed by the rest of you blitzkrieging your way past the guards until no one lay left standing."

Noëmie shakes her head "The mage is in the third sub-level, so not easily accessible. In the day at least, no idea where he is at night. And while I don't have your...experience...for this kind of things, I very much doubt a frontal assault has any chance to succeed in anything else than a big firefight. And the farm may not survive it depending on their security protocols."

I think a timed strike on two fronts infiltrated positions would be our best bet.  an insertion  team a and an outside team

"If the mage is in the basement, he should have trouble to go on astral recon and get spirits out there, which means he can't find the invisible team before they reach his level, right?
Otherwise getting the drop on the mage would just be a matter of having a powerful spirit lurking in the astral around him and wait until he starts to astrally perceive, then - bamm - the spirit can maul him with a surprise attack.

But it seems most of us are in favor of the two pronged attack. Taking out the antenna should be a back up option if we can't take over the control room. Because if we can control the drones, this whole operation will be a whole lot easier. But for that we need at least one person with hacker skills on the infiltrator unit."

As I see it, our best chances are an assault around 0300h. Even night people tend to get a bit drowsy around that time.

For our surveillance we need to find out the timing of the guard's rounds, shift change and any other peculiarities they might have. Likewise what pattern the drones are flying and where their charging stations are.
Finally we need an astral recon at least of the top building with a head count of who and what we have to expect - especially critters and spirits that could see through invisibility - as well as what route we can take that will minimize our exposure to their watching eyes. For this purpose the sewer might be usable, although the strong scent might give us away on the lower floors. So other avenues are more preferable from my perspective."

He listened with disappointment as Nyx, Kernal and Kynos voiced their doubts on whether it'd be wise to start events off with a head-on attack.  Maxwell grumbles internally as he chows down on a chocolate bar.  Between bites he managed to chime in with.  "I don't mind doing more recon but can it wait after I've slept for a little while.  Had a rough night dealing with zombies and I'm not at full strength at the moment.  Other than that, the plan sounds fine.  Still baffling to me that you'd pass up the chance to start the night with a bang but whatever."
