Antiquarians-
Interested and adept at using analog computational tech.

Basically, they use their matrix prowess to scour archival data to use and understand non-matrix enabled devices.

I just like the idea of more of a steampunk technomancer, who gets excited about junk heaps and finding old-type writers, player pianos, and animatronic puppets...

Cool idea! Maybe they have the unique ability to imbue outdated or wrecked Tech with Resonance?

Manatechnicians -
Secret and extra risky to play, technomancers that have ways probabilistly understanding some magical phenomena. Perhaps an echo to get Astral perception that uses Computer and Resonance but gives a bigger penalty to doing anything when astral perceivng (-4 or -6 instead of -2). Can get a good sense of background count based on scouring data about reports about it. Bonuses to Arcana. And the kicker, can learn a way to lower (at least temporarily or sustained) object resistance! (great for partnering with their enchanter pals).

Could be interesting. I didnīt plan on messing with the distinction between Magic and Resonance too much, because of corps or government will find a Technomancers that is proficient in both realms, it would probably a game-changer. However, this does make sense: I wouldnīt go as far as giving them real Astral perception, but there might be Technomancers that have a higher emphasis on the parnormal properties of Resonance and the undeniable parallels between Resonance and Magic  :o

Futurists:
Basically technomancer diviners and perhaps luck manipulators. They analyze predictive data in Resonance algorithms to make informed predictions with great confidence.
Can get an echo that functions similar to the magic version of Divining, but uses different attributes/skills (something like an Intuition + Software test (with a base threshold) set the limit of a divining test and Resonance + Computer test make the actual prediction).
Machine sprites of this techno gets bonuses to Gremlins and Stability.
Can make an Edge + Resonance as a complex action for edge bonuses that last longer, at the cost of longer lasting negatives for a glitch/crit glitch.
So the Themes here are predictabilit and Big Data?
Sounds interesting, but I have the feeling that this kind of Vibe already present in the Apophenian dissonant stream. The Aphophenians could use a less "edgy" counterpart, though  ;)

Back at it after a rather stressfull week  ;)

Some little Updates:
  • Simplified the Effect of the Zenobyte CF for straight up Willpower reduction and catatonia when dropping to Zero.
  • Added the (aggressive!) CF for the Dreamscaper Stream that deals "sneaky" Biofeedback damage. Props to redditor Almechik for coming up with the name and idea for it ;D
  • Added the rest of the description for the Dreamscapers and another perk for the Dream VR mode in regards to OS.

Just realized that Data Trails had actually a bunch of dissonant Streams hidden in the piles of fluff (p.164). Besides the Nytemares, which are already fleshed out here, there are also Cyberdarwinists, Discordians (... which seem to be pretty equivalent to the Erisians, if for the name alone. They are probably in a bitter fight over who has the better one ;D), The Sublime (donīt really get the idea here...) and Ex Pacis themselfes.

Hmmmm, I think I can at least do something with the Cyberdarwinists . A bit of Nietzschean Philosophy, some crude Evolution Analogies...

Work in Progress

Cyberdarwinists
Type: Dissonant
Themes: Evolution, Adaption, Survival, Supremacy
Description: -
Benefits: Cyberdarwinists receive one bonus die to any Damage Resistance Test that affects their Stun or Physical Condition monitor, including Resistance tests against Matrix Damage, Biofeedback and Fading as well as physical Trauma, Poisons and even Magical Damage. They also recieve +2 dice for Survival Skill Tests.
Deamon: Adaptive Algorithms: Cyberdarwinists have mastered the art of adapting their living persona to changing conditions and threats, similar to the way deckers are able to reconfigure their Cyberdecks. With a Free Action, a Cyberdarwinist can swap two of his Living Personaīs Matrix Attributes (after counting in bonuses from Echoes, but before counting in any other Modificators), as long as they are not more than [Submersion Grade] apart. Cyberdarwinists are also masters of surviving live-threatening Biofeedback and add their Submersion Grade to Damage resistance rolls against physical(!) Biofeedback Damage, in addition to their general damage resistance bonus.
Complex Form: Not sure yet, but it should be something aggressive that fits the eat-or-get-eaten mentality.
