Why would you pay this guy off? I wasnt even the dick in all that. In fact by the rules, an etiquette roll of 8 successes, I should have smoothed over any incident, real or imagined including walking in an asking to put a Humanis poster up in the window.

Well, everyone percieves things differently, I just didnt play Mata off as a Dick this time, but still ended that way.

But, that would be Ramses own prejudices showing and not Mata's. Mata was direct, but cordial.

And thats why Cursor apologised to Mata. Ramses is a tough shadow smuggling dwarf, he needs to stay in charge of a preceding  inside his own club.
I agree though, your etiquette roll should have helped, but Sent wanted this bit dice free it seems

Yep,

until you make a gaffe, there was no need for etiquette rolls.
Ramses, is a guy who want to know everything before getting involved, and you were holding off some bits of info, minimised their importance or refused to provide them, which drove him mad.

Eight hits is a lot to cover wrinkles the size of Grand Canyon, but until I call for them they just aren't enough. You may alwasy ask to make a roll, and ask how you should behave, or what is expected.
