Why the change on spirits?  Being able to hurt them with mundane weapons when they materialize.

There always was some way to harm spirits with mundane means.

In 6th world edition those means happen to be exactly the same as in 5th edition, so I'm not sure what change you're referring to?
RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

I’m guessing they mean the lower damage of attacks this edition. Well except grenades.

I’m curious to see how this works out in play. Damage is lower but im not expecting to see force 9 spirits anytime soon. Unless you specifically design to summon super force spirits I’m guessing force 4 will be the norm.

I think the multiple spirits without binding was a bad choice. If anything I’d of made that more expensive. Some form of binding has been in play since 1e I can’t fathom why they ditched it.

Spirits had hardened armor in 5E. At least I’m pretty sure they did. In this edition it says “Spirits can be fought with anything that effect astral beings, or regular weapons if they materialize.” (Pg 147 under summoning)

It still works the same way.  Materialization gives Immunity to Normal Weapons. See pg 225 (and Immunity, pg 224-225)

Crap, I just remembered that in 5E the immunity to natural weapons was under Materialize power. Which caused us great consternation, since we all knew what materialize did none of us read it and saw that it also adds immunity to normal weapons. Add you put it there again and I did not read it again. Thank you. If I could add the forehead palm slap emoji here I would

Of course Immunity is horribly OP in this edition, so I suggest nerfing it to Rating/2 autohits for now, and see if we get any change to it in the future.
