This Thread https://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=30318.0 brought me to the following conclusions:

The DNI is not described in SR6, but i take the SR5 description, bold done by me:

SR 5th Edition Core Rules page 222:
Direct Neural Interface
A direct neural interface, or DNI, connects your brain to
electronic devices. Direct neural interface (along with a sim
module) is required for VR use, but DNI is also useful for AR
in that you don’t need any additional gear like earbuds or an
image link to see or hear augmented reality objects.

How do you sign up? You get DNI by wearing trodes, or
having an implanted datajack, commlink, or cyberdeck. And if
you’re using a sim module along with your DNI, you can get a
sort of “super AR mode” where you can also feel, smell, and
taste your AR experience.

Now in SR6 you can use the "Brute Force" (p.180) Matrix Action to gain User or Admin access on a Commlink(or any other Device, but it is Commlink for now).

Next step is "Edit File" (p.181) part of the Edit File description is:
"If you want to perform a continuous edit, such
as removing your teammates from a video feed, you
need to perform this action once per combat round for
as long as you want to keep the edit going."

Now as is see it when someone is using a Commlink with DNI by Trodes, Datajack, Cyberjack or Control Rig, and maybe other options exist you can use Edit File to send him for example a "Bluescreen" giving him the Blindness III for as long as he stays connected to the corrupted Commlink.

So far i thought this was only doable by using a hijacked Image Link ...

DNI is full sensory. Not just audio/video.  99% of the time DNI is what's letting you feel, smell, and even taste simsense.

So yeah, you can hack them to taste the color of bluescreen.  Of course, most people don't even have a DNI.  And those that do, aren't necessarily actively using it every given moment.

Now, giving conditions willy nilly via edit file on DNI, that may be a bit of a stretch.  Just because you're feeding the DNI to show nothing but monochromatic blue, it doesn't necessarily mean that the data the eyes are feeding to the visual cortex are being ignored.  For all you, me, or your GM knows, hacking the DNI to feed "bluescreen" might just be nothing more than the effect of putting a shade of blue on everything the victim sees.  Blue sunglasses effect, perhaps.  Or, perhaps, Blinded III.  GM will tell you if that's the case, not the other way around.

RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

I hope you are right ^^ from the description they use the word "see" tough, and if you are seeing virtual objects, then you can make a giant bluescreen direct in front of the eye. The Edit File mentions only sight, so i guessed messing with more than 1 sense in real time is not possible for only 1 hacker.

Yeah, if they've got cybereyes, just hack the cybereyes to show what you want them to see.

What you describe would only be possible as long as the user was actively using the DNI for such use at that time. Directly hacking their cyber eyes would be a more effective route to accomplish the same result
