[SR6] Grapple Dmg+Adept Powers?

1. Can I combine Grapple Dmg or Grapple-Tackle-Dmg with Adept Powers: Killings Hands, Critical Strike?
2. I dont understand Break free action from grapple rules:  Is it close combat+ Str. vs close combat Str.  OR close combat +Str. vs previous attacker net hits?

1. I would say killing hands and critical strike would Work with grapple dmg as normal. ... But would be hesitant to have IT Work with tackle dmg ( yes, Im kinda splitting hairs right now).
But maybe they could both be benifitting?

2. My best Guess would be be closecombat +strength vs close Combat +strength. The initial strength +net hits is only to establish the grapple.

But Yeah, the grappling rules seems somewhat odd and ambigious.

Which is par for the course with most roleplaying games, for some reason.

I've never understood why game designers always seem perfectly fine with abstracting swordplay, gun fights, wizard duels, and even WMD exchanges between faster-than-light starships with a simple "You roll to Hit. You roll to Defend. Then roll Damage." abstraction, but then feel the need to turn wrestling into a complex simulation.
Evil looms. Cowboy up. Kill it. Get paid.

It's the consequences that make it a knotty issue for game designers. Hit and succeed/fail? Easy. And now you're grappled. Easy...

Till you have to determine what penalties and bonuses are applied by this condition, and if the grappled player can cancel the condition how does he do so, and what can the grappling player do about it.

That's all the source of the complexity.

If you spend a Minor Action to activate Killing Hands then it will be applied when you deal damage to your grappled target. Previous editions made it clear that it is not just applied when you punch people with your hands.

Critical Strike is a passive power that will also be applied when you deal damage to your grappled target.

I also can't find anything prohibiting you from applying them both when you tackle your opponent.

As written it is actually a Simple Test, but I would borrow some intention from the Restrain attack and resolve it as an Opposed Close Combat + Strength vs. Close Combat + Strength Test.
