I remember there being a conflict between the number of minor actions you got from 4 Ranks of Improved Reflexes and what people were saying is max number of Minor Actions are allowed.

1)What is current state? Way I think of it, base line 0 ranks, you have 1 Major 1 Minor. 4 Ranks gives 4 Initiative Die, which would make it 1 Major 5 Minor. Is that correct? Is that the max for all characters? Would a 4 Rank Improved Reflexes Phys Adept be able to then take 2  Major 1 Minor every round?

2)Follow up question, lets say I have a character with 6 Reaction, I take 4 Ranks of Improved Reflexes, bringing it up to 10 Reaction, I then take 4 Ranks of Improved Attribute Reaction.  Improved Attribute limit reads:
Quote
The maximum boost to the attribute
is 1.5 times the current level or the augmented
maximum, whichever is lower.

Am I to assume that 10 would be it's augmented maximum given that 6 is natural max +4 Augment from Improved Reflexes and therefore any ranks in Improved Attribute Reaction would be wasteD?

Characters have one Major action and one Minor action and one additional Minor action for each D6 of initiative.  So Improved Reflexes 4 would be a total of +5d6 Initiative and a net of one Major action and six Minor Actions.

RAW, you're capped at five Minor actions at the start of your turn.  There are several actions that can be taken at anytime, but at the start of your action you are capped at five Minor actions.

Personally I don't think the little mini-game of converting actions and spending anytime actions before your turn is RAI.  I think the easiest explanation is that the cap should be six Minor actions, not five.  YMMV, check with your GM.

RAW, sounds like Improved Reflexes takes a minor hit in value at Rank 4. For every rank up to 4, you get 1 IniDie (which gives +1 Minor Action) +1 Reaction. So not only are you more likely to go first and have better defense, you also gain an additional Minor Action. At Rank 4, all you get is the addition IniDie a Reaction and no more Minor Actions due to the cap of 1 Major and 5 Minor, at least that's how I understand it from what you said and what was discussed when 6e first came out.

Hmmm, makes for interesting scenario of how much that 1 more Improved Reflexes is worth over say an additional Improved Attribute spend....hmmm...

Any chance I can get section/page number that states the 1 Major 5 Minor in post Errata CB?

Here it is:

Quote from: 3rd paragraph of Combat Round, pg 107 of 1-20 edition of CRB
Characters may never start a player turn
with more than 5 Minor Actions. If they
would have earned more through any circumstances,
that number is reduced to 5.
RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

Your interpretation matches mine.  Level 3 until Errata'd  ;  )  Same for most Initiative boosters.

You can spend the Minor before your turn, but I assume the 5 Minors is an error originating from 'just 1 Minor per Die, not 1pD+1', meant as a balance factor for if eventually things appear that give extra Minors, so it should just be the natural normal maximum of 6 instead.
How am I not part of the forum?? O_O I am both active and angry!
