Security..eh, you are right. still didnt get used to it. we lack such things...if you dont consider Area boyos asking for bribe to be kind of police...HAHAHAHA

...Omar LOLs to his joke and drives towards meeting point. The drone takes off and flies to the position from where it has view on the factory area. It would stay there untill it needs to recharge

10:00 pm found you at the planning room, circled around the table and pondering over the possible approaches.
By then Cursor finished most of his research and throw in additional bits of information.

Rocky Mountain Dynamics
  • RMD is currently in negotiations to renew its contract with Nissan. Nissan is upset with quality control in RMD's Bow Mar manufacturing facility, and is insisting on major improvements at the plant. RMD is balking at the costs involved to upgrade the automated control systems and equipment, considering the low profit margin on the parts supplied to Nissan for the Jackrabbit. Plant general manager Erik Fjordson is under pressure to keep quality high and overhead low, an almost impossible task considering the age of the facility. Shortly after announce that negotiations with Nissan didn't ended succesfuly for the RMD, their stocks fell, and they have not reached bottom. Recommendation sell. - Denver Daily - stocks column
  • As part of the publicity campaign for the newest version of Nissan's Doberman perimeter drone, Nissan supplied a pair of the drones to each of its suppliers (RMD's Bow Mar plant included) as a gesture of goodwill and to enhance their security. Some corps are using them as delivered, but others, concerned about industrial espionage, either scrapped them soon after or completely overhauled them.

Erik Fjordson - He's the general manager of Rocky Mountain Dynamic's manufacturing plant in Bow Mar. Been there about 2 years. Prior to that, he worked as a managing engineer for Ares back in Detroit. They recruited him right out of Purdue. He currently lives at 335 Marion in the Littleton district of PCC sector. - initial part comes from his offical CV on the public RMD node in "PR materials" files. The latter required a hack into the Stuffer Shack clients database. Seems like The manager lieks to order some food to be delivered at his home address.

Johnson face - after a lot of searching you managed to find out the same info as Fractal - that he is Elliot Addison a CFO of Consolidated Food Distributors - a logistic company servicing number of governmental companies.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

the guard can be anywhere - you had to wait 15 minutes to have him pass, and judging by the speed he is moving he walks back and fourth taking about 30 minutes to complete the circuit

you're also able to scan him for cyber and metal equipment - there is no cyber on him except the smartlink. he holds heavy pistol, and stun baton.

in the part that you have scanned
A tagged warehouse - 2 tagged guards - similiary equipped as the one you scanned and 2 tagged workers - light cyber (control rigs), this building contain some vehicles and storage pallets, containing both equipment, inventory and materials)
B tagged 'unknown' - 4 tagged guards, 12 tagged workers - light cyber on some (control rigs, data jacks, cerebral boosters) - this building contains lots of lockers
C tagged assembly line - 2 tagged guards, 10 tagged workers - light cyber on some (control rigs) - this buildign contain (in the part scanned a computer room, a large crane, several smaller vehicles and part of the assembly line
D tagged office - 2 tagged guards, 10 tagged workers - light cyber on some (control rig, datajacks, cerebral boosters, cyber ears)
2nd scan
you picked up additional 2 people tagged guards and additional 5 tagged workers in the 'office', but they might have relocated meanwhile between the buildings, so there might be some overlaps.

What do you say Omar, do you recognize the vehicles in the scan?
would we be able to block their communication without shunting them down?
Would you, techies, be able to determine what is the target for ransacking, if they use some valuable stuff, do they have some value blueprints and stuff?

As we discussed, the place seems fully connected to the Matrix. I could probably access it from here, and gain some information. The risk is high, as Omar said they have state of the art network, possibly with hidden security.

Fractal took a cookie and walked around the map of the facility projected at the room. Johnson's voice came out of his throat:

"I gave you a commlink and I may have underestimated the or overestimated the facility security. You colleague Fractal is suspicious of me, and would like Omar or Cursor to take a look at this piece of equipment to see if it is not part of a trap."

Fractal returned to his normal voice:

"That's something I am able to do. I can make a call to the guards for them to open the doors for us, with I can come across a voice sample of someone important. I haven't yet thought of the best course of action, but I really liked seeing a sample of our capabilities. I'm feeling I am in a really nice team."

"Here. Info. "
Looks like a insurance scam at the moment.
Looks like they would benefit from our raid, if the have a big insurance. and the Johnson rules make sense as well.

What do you say?

Nice Fractal. Im recording theirs comunications, I thought that I would edit the voice tracks later to assembly false messages...but your ability is even better :)

About that equiipement, Ill do the quick scan now to turn it off completely, then Ill take it to my shop for analysis. Good point there, I dont trust a word to that corpse sucker.

About that acess, Ill be able to get some spoofs when we find employers with access authorizations...and if you are able to break in their nodes, I can help you deal with ICs etc...Still..I have only killing program so I would rather not fight with their spiders or hackers, if we want to keep them alive...

And about the vehicles..I dont have signature recognizing software, but if I see that, I will probably recognize that..Hell..I ven know how to put these things together...
Comunication blocking would be difficult in large scale, I don`t have EMP, but specific targets I can easillyjam on the fly. But someone else should be able.
And about the ransacking...I dont know what you mean. We will see, but I doubt that I will be able to locate the loot via matrix  ???

I mean that it would be darn difficult to carry out a bunch of motors from there, but a lot easier a particular part, that would fetch a good amount, maybe even a greater amount of nuyen then the motor itself, [price/Kg; price/m^3], Would be good to have a knowledge what we could sell for how much, i know we will never know everything, but at least we will not have to compare most of the stuff on the fly.

Looks at the Clock

3:00pm to 11:30pm is the 2nd shift, I would like to get a second look how security changes after dark, + I would like to get them a bit stressed, so any who would like to see how they react are welcome to join us.

Sam looks at Omar, hopefully it was enough to sway him in favour of this action. Running the whole distance would take a lot longer then it is comfortable.

trying to remember if he knows some Mafia activity in this region.

That is an interesting question - In this biz, a big mouth is the number one cause of cement poisoning. But you seem to recall that the Chavez family has an interest in the plant here. It might be RMD's. But to be sure, you'd need to confirm that with some Mafia related contact.

"I prefer to invade their systems unnoticed; that's the best way of causing no causalities. Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but we could sabotage files and change the blueprints of their products this way, and the operation would be ceased without further work. That would be the easiest and less stressful way of doing it. But it could not work."

Fractal turns around the table once more, takings his time to take a sip from his cup of soycaf. "And doing it this way would also mean getting no "lost gear" from the facility, so that's definitively not the best course of option. I'm just saying for us to raise the possibilities. If all else goes south, but we don''t screw it completely,  we still have a chance here."

Now Fractal was already calmed about the fiasco that was his negotiation, and his confidence was coming back. He wanted to do this job, even though he knew there were more there than met the eye.

"After all, if we don't enter there, how could we get our new pair of Nissan Security Drones? Some consider it part of the facilities security, but I'm leaned to consider they part of our paycheck."

Calico Cat leaned back in the chair she was sitting in thinking about the mission. She knew this is the kind of job where she only comes into play when things go wrong. After scouting the area around the target she had a couple good vantage points in mind. Her military training was kicking in, she looks for the high ground to cover ground forces, provide recon and precision fire support. She already was planing her over watch position.

She decided that she needed to stock up on gel ammo and sent a message to Rick to get a price estimate. She then pulls one of her knives from her duffel and starts sharpening it.

That would not work, the problem with that would be the backup, could even be a hard copy or the files on a cut off place. For the non intrusive stuff i would suggest to cut off the supplies lines like cancelling all shipments, breaking all delivery contracts stuff like that, starving then of supplies, but that would defiantly take longer then a week.

He takes a moment to drink a sip of his second Buzz Cola.

As far as I am thinking, we will have to go in, but when and to do what. that we have to determine.
And now back to my previous questions, are you interested in a small trip back to the place, or should I go alone?

That point about starving their supplies is not so dumb as you think. I know something about vehicles manufactoring, and I know that most of this factories works with minimal stock, to save money. Just in time , all other kinds of6Sigma and lean strategies are employed in this to minimalize the stock supplies, just for the fact that in the material is money. If this fabric has some problems, they would maybe posses one or two days material reserves, they are at best very dependant on the clever logistics. If we keep disrupting the supply lines for just one parts, that has to be assembled to the engine at the beginning of the manufacturing process, we should make the assembly lines stop. And if we disrupt the logistics for the part that is assembled at the end of the line, they should take the risk and manufacture uncomplete products...which costs even more, because once the parts arrive, they will have to get to goods in proces back on the line and that, believe me, would cause absolute logistic chaos. And if we intercept this chaoss with some false data, casing quallity or logistic problems, they will not just have to stop current production but they would have to work over time...with their financial activa deptlet on the part held in the storage bay...beautifull. And with people angry, overworked it takes only a little to cause some serious hot moments for the management explaining the situation to board of stock owners.

Man I'm hunrgy any soy burgers left. Chummers I'm going to summon a watcher to watch the place for us, make sure nothing astral pops up. Also, think its time to call one of my blogger contacts to see what they may know about RMD and what they've been up.
Riker places a pm to Fred the Blooger contact and sees if he has heard anything. I think its about to get very interesting chummers and we need to get an idea of target(s) that can be of value to us.
