Consider this Mr Gm. The comlinks are communicating to one another using the commlinks siganal rating. If any of us that have a non-wireless DNI to our comlink we are unaffected by the jammer. Our personal wireless pan maybe down for certain things that are low level wireless devices but sending text messages and such are not effected. They use the comlinks signal rating.

I thought I made it clear that the commlinks themselves are not jammed, just the wireless connections to visiongear, earbuds, and other similar gear, assuming they aren't skinlinked or connected to the commlink by a non-wireless means. I also stated that old fashioned texting IS still available. I'll state it again so it's really clear....

If the way you interact with your commlink is wireless then you don't have access to your commlink short of taking it out and like we do now with cellphones.(not counting blue-tooth ofcourse).

Since nobody seems to talk to Space but he sees some of the group tipping into the commlink, he simply intercept the traffic signal:

Thread Sniffer: 3http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3075425/
Intercept Trafic: 5 http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3075427/
Fading: 0 damage http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3075428/

I assume Redwulfe has no Eletrnoic Warfare skill and therefor didn't encrypt the signal?
If he has:
Thread Decrypt: 2-4 http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3075429/
Fading: 1-2 damage http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3075430/
Decrypt: 2-4 http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3075432/

Do I have to roll anything else to hack myself into the chat-conversation, since nobody talk to him?
For example:
Crack into the conversation: 3 http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3075439/

@gagamel: nobody has invited my char so far to your chat group and since you don't have Space's commcode you can't send a message to him. You have to use your voice and so far nobody spoke to Space, this is very rude.

Edit: Solved the problem IC by hacking the conversation.

it is encrypted at rating 3, The others coms are slaved to mine so if you decide to hack the comm you will have to do mine or you will be kicked back to min anyway.

okay, do I have to make a success test against your program rating or is it a oppsot test against your encrypt-skill? I think the hous rules  said that the encrypt program rating is only an upper bound for your hits and so it should be an oppset test. Otherwise I take 2damage instead of 1.

Also I didn't hack your commlink I just hacked the chatt channel. One of you send a message and I intercepted it. Every eletronical message contain at least a access ID from where it comes, the text and the access ID to where it goes together with at least 3 layers of traffic and routing information (computer science ;D ) Space can use the data to spoof a message which would seems to come from one of the slaved comms (this would be the last cracking roll)

So, if you look at Space message you will see that it has the access ID from Triggervi (if it was his message i intercepted first) and only if you analyse it deeper you see the access ID from Space's normal commlink since he didn't spoof that ID.

@Triggvi: I may have missread it, but so far he just looked for a hidden commlink, what would usually takes a few minutes even for a good hacker.

Your character wasn't being ignored, everyone was under the impression that when Redwulfe said

Quote
Yurei looks for Spaces Access ID to add him in to his communication

that he did add you to the team's communication. So everyone that said @team afterwards  was infact talking to you as well. Heck you had a character that addressed your character directly over comm, which implies that he thought you were connected to the team's communications.

He then turns to the new team member and sends the following message:welcome to the group.  I'm Nexus: muscle.  The group appointed me leader for the time being.  It seems you came just in time.  this sounds like a job where hackings gonna be a must

Also, with the update to the hacking houserule, the rolls that you did Larzarus aren't valid... something you might want to be aware of though, threading increases the rating of the CF by the successes, so a decrypt 2 + 4 successes = Decrypt 6, which is higher than your Resonance, which would cause physical fading.

Ok, how about this... since I doubt it was intentional for space to be ignored,, can we just say that when Yurei says "looks for Spaces Access ID to add hi in to his communication." he found your AccessID (2 complex actions to locate your hidden node, assuming it's hidden, plus a matrix perception simple action to get the Access ID. This is all assums he's looking for your physical commlink.) and included you in the communications from/to the group there by negating any ignoring that may have inadvertently happened?

Finally, I want to point out that assuming everyone is ignoring your character without a single player saying that their character is intentionally ignoring yours is a bit much. I'm under the impression that English isn't your primary language. The reason I mention it is that sometimes when people don't have the same primary language it can lead to more misunderstandings and perceived slights, so lets all make sure we clear up any possible misunderstandings in OOC, and give a chance for people to respond, before having characters take offense.

I'm sorry if my english sounded too rude. I appologize for that it wasn't me intention.
Nevertheless, as far as I had understand it nobody in the group had said a physical blue 'Hallo' and keept talking in the red group-chat, so I was confused.

To be sure:
So I can assume when Space get the message from Nexus, Space is already in the chat-group, even without knowing it?
What he don't know are the names of the runners and the job or even how much money he will get in the end, correct?
He only has read something about prison and inpersonation of a lawyer or so, correct?

I have changed the IC-post:
@team:So, Hallo together. Nexus, can you give me a quick briefing about the group and this job, so I can understand what everybody is talking about?

does it fit the current situation?

No worries, just a fair bit of confusion going on. Regarding the chat-group thing, I wouldn't consider it like a chatroom, I'd say it's more like they are simply sending out texts to the people in the group, not signing into a chatroom style thing.

@team> I agree with Yurie. It should be far more easier to impersonate this guys own lawyer than make up our own. Although, it might be funny to stick him a second crime?

To make sure I used the right words: The last setence should mean that we (the runners) blame the guy in the prison for another crime (a crime he didn't commit; one which even don't need to exist except on papers).

I can't speak for everyone but, "stick him a second crime" makes enough sense that I understood what you were getting at  ;)
