I know this is a really old thread to be rebooting but I also figure that those who have posted here have the best chance to answer my question.

Awhile ago I was reading a sourcebook that listed a few other cities that were impacted/occupied during the New Revolution attacks in 2064 but I no longer recall which book this was in and I cannot seem to find it.  Does someone here know which book it is that I am thinking of?

Thanks,

Horsemen.

System Failure, most likely, but the cities it mentions are victims of Winternight's nukes, mostly. (And, note to salf, San Fransisco is one of those. That needs to be talked about!) ... the Revolution rose up ... and got swatted down. These days, you see that it's got some backers in the CAS, sneakily hidden under the "True American" movement. Colloton rooted out and purged the majority in the UCAS... unless, of course, she's in the movement herself. (dun dun DUNNNNN!) ... which has been investigated several times and nothing ever spilled out.

At any rate, check out System Failure.... that was teh last time the New Revolution got any real airtime.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Anyway, it was continent-wide, but for all intents and purposes it basically "Never happened" anywhere until I came onboard last year. It's safe to say that somehow or another uprisings took place in every North American capital (excepting Aztlan, the Caribbean League, and Denver) with mixed results. It clearly left a long-term effect to destabilize Tir Tairngire, Tsmishian, and Ute. The effects on the UCAS are a lot more clear. The effects on CAS, Salish, and PCC have not been well-explored, but it has caused tension between PCC and Sioux long term regarding the uprising in Cheyene (alluded to but not described). There's another easter egg in Hard Exit's entry in the Street Legends Supplement when she was doing counterinsurgency hostage rescue.

I'm sure this listed five or six cities directly and I am fairly certain it was in one of the new products but I've been quite ill lately so the memory is pretty foggy at the moment.

I'll look in System Failure but I'm pretty sure it wasn't there.

I'll check Hard Exit out thanks.

It would get interesting if a few dragons stuck their snouts into the New Revolution. having a currency to play off vs the Yen would make for fun financial shenannigans

Not really any of the great dragons' style. Especially not the ones in North America. And the adult dragons aren't going to deliberately poke Ghostwalker into taking action.

Presuming 'taking Denver back over' isn't on the menu, though, Ghostwalker wouldn't give two hoots if the USA was reconstituted.

I think his intelligent enough to know, great dragon or not, its not in his best interest to have a reunited usa...
But the nations all fighting each other, perhaps even requesting his assistance or mediation... That would be good...

a reunited eastern CSA-UCAS would make things a LOT different on the NorthAm side. I could see a fair amount of both nations messing with the NANers, and fostering some of the micro tribes independence movements

... CAS.  The CSA was United States Civil War-era.

I will say that the Shadowrun-current politics makes a sustained reunification unlikely.

Although, if any of the countries making up the old USA were to reunite, it would be the UCAS and CAS.

Or the PCC could keep gobbling up other nations until it's the last one standing. OM NOM NOM NOM

No, I think the PCC has reached the extent of their gobbling for now. Internal problems are going to keep things in check with them.

Oh?

Last I read, they were about to kneecap the Azzie-backed Ute agitation at the annual Shareholder Meeting (Gotta love the idea of a nationwide political convention/election/State of the Union all wrapped into one "thing").

Yeah, but as long as the Ute opposition remains, it will be a cause for concern. Also, with the Azzie influence in LA (and a large portion of legal PCC voters, therefore), that's going to cause problems as well. Not to mention the issues in the Mojave. While they aren't enough to cause the PCC to fall apart by any means, I don't think they'll be proactively making land grabs. If war opened up with the Azzies, however, I can definitely see them trying to take San Diego, at least. But it would take something to provoke them into a reaction like that.
