Not dying to a headshot isn't necessarily "protected by box text."  Prime NPCs have Edge just like PCs. They can burn it to survive death.

One of my Prime NPCs had a building fall on him.

Same, they later ran into him in hospital missing an arm. They didn't question it.

Yep. Burning edge is completely legit.  I was just frustrated when this chump Ms. J with no apparent valuable combat ability ends up being fraggin Frosty.

OK.  Mister Johnsons have a more DANGEROUS job than Shadowrunners!  They're the cut-out between the paymasters and the deniable assets.  Emphasis on "Cut", especially around the throat area!

If they appear to have no combat ability or toughness whatsoever, that's all the more reason to suspect that it's just a ploy!
