Sorry Vanian, I didn't mean to offend.  If I don't have the big picture maybe you enlighten me some more.  But this corp is killing people for this stupid piece of tech and I was hired to expose them.  I need that schematic.

The old rigger rubs away an imaginary blemish on his steel forearm as he makes the comment, glancing round at everyone and hoping the pause in conversation will provide a moment to clear the air.

Switch shrugs as Jink performs his pelvic thrusts. 

After listening to Sundance he nods.  "Sounds good enough.  It looks like Steve found some other playmates, but I'd be surprised if someone wasn't watching the place.  We also need to know what gear it is that we're looking for."

He glances at Rat: "Good point, and we're working on getting you out of here.  But if you've grasped the whole picture, how about filling us in?  I may not be as good looking as old Jinks here, but I look a lot better with my head safely attached to my neck."

"Yeah.  You don't have to tell me this whole situation is fragged up beyond all recognition.  But here's something you didn't check right here."  He shuffles over to the ARO projection of the Iron Legion hit that they had been watching and, with a wave, focuses in on the time stamp.  "This drek happened almost the same time Multitech hit my shop.  Clean Steve, or whoever he's working for, must be coming at this from the opposite side of things if he hit the Legion and then came after the eye.  Only way the timeline matches up."  Rat steps back.  "You wanna find the rest of that schematic, cred says he's either got it, or he knows who does."  He scrolls through the trid and points to the ganger with a laughing demon skull painted on the back of his leather jacket.  He's frozen in time with his back arched and his knees buckling under him as the one bullet Steve fired catches him right in the kidney.  "That's Breaker.  Wish I never met the scab, but that's a bad way to go out.  Didn't mention it at the time, since it didn't seem important, but the guy had a girl with him when he came in.  She stayed outside, so I didn't get a look at her, but I don't think she was in that crowd who got their heads grabbed up.  Well, that is if she didn't have fiberoptic hair.  Girl was a peroxide blond with about two inches of black roots."

Fair enough, I'm with you Jink and Switch.  Might be a good idea if everyone looks for some info on this "Clean Steve."  If he's still looking for the eye and we run into him trying to help Vanian maybe we could talk our way out instead of fighting.  Crimson, could you put some feelers out?  Also, I'd like some time to "summon" some more muscle before we go up against him.  He had spirits watching his goons when we first encountered him.  I don't see why he wouldn't if we met him again.

Now that he was definitely on-board this new job, Sundance decided it was time to put out some feelers about this "Clean Steve" character. He started sending out quick queries to a number of his friends in the Vory - anyone who seemed likely to have heard of Steve.

@Olga Olga, you had any luck finding that piece? Also, have you seen anything from a guy going by Clean Steve? Has he ever cut any deals with us?

"Cyber-eye, blueprints, Clean Steve, Ganger massacre, 3rd party - i think i get, that this is much more complex and we really do not have the time to just stand here and chat about it, so i suggest we get the plan down and start moving while we wrap our head around it." Then she turned hallways to the cars and her bike, indicating her intention to go that direction "And I for one can try to sneak in Vanian's shop if needed, plant a tapper bug or something to get Mokoto, here, access to the data stream. but if you would like to do it in full force i am game with that as well. No point in wasting time here."

A quick message at her Boss was composed while she waited on the reaction of the others

Rat pipes up, "Well, I can tell you what I know about the guy since I'm disappearing anyway.  Way I hear it, Steve is a total pro.  No muscle-flexing bullshit, just hits like the wrath of god.  I never had reason to hire the guy, but I also hear he's pricy as hell."

Switch turns to ghost: "How much time do you need to do your thing?"

Motoko nods. "If we're going to do this, then let's do it. Vanian can ride in my van. THAT," she points at Jink, "cannot." Looking to the others, she said, "A tapper drone would be nice, but I don't have any such things on me at present. However, if you give me access to your link, and jack it directly into the terminal or even one of the cameras themselves, if you can, then I can get into the system through there. I just need a point of entry. Once I have a way into the system, I can get what we need." Looking over at Vanian, she said, "I don't suppose you loaded IC on that system even though it is completely offline, did you?"

Jink gives his new team mate a conspiratorial wink.

"You want to do your spirit dance thing, Ghost. Then maybe we roll, eh? Anybody want to ride in the swagger welcome, you welcome."

Pretty pleased with the way things are panning out, Jink allows himself a broad smile and puts his hands on his hips. A moment later he sends Motoko a private AR message: a flashing red arrow sign with the words "Party right here!" pointing at his "man area".

Motoko's response was simple. Closing her eyes, she altered that arrow sign to read, If you do not stop this, I will sell you to my boyfriend. He's always looking for supplies for the organleggers.

Looking at the rest of Jink's team, she said, "Let your idiot know that my friend in the Yakuza will be quite happy to relieve him of his various organs if he doesn't behave himself. If I don't shoot him first. I get one more proposition, and he's dead."

"What? Boyfriend? Sheesh" Jink declares surprised. Talk about leading me on. Why she flirting with me if boyfriend problem. Hmm maybe they break-up soon?

He waits for Ghost to do his thing, dazed and confused by this sudden relationship wall.
