My gaming budget has been spoken for, so thus I will not enjoy this game any time soon.   :'(
i don't know wether i should smite you for not planning for deus ex in your budget or if i should pity you for having to plan a gaming budget . . probably more of the latter though . .

So far, I've been digging it.  There was a very noticeable spike in difficulty when you move from the little leagues to the big leagues (and suddenly guys have armor, etc) -- but even that felt very Shadowrunny to me.

Same here. I was lucky enough to be able to toss $25 into my Steam wallet in order to pick up the Fallout: New Vegas DLC (and the two surprise DLCs also being released). If you're curious to see where my entertainment budget is tied up, click: http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Super-Star-Destroyer-10221
Power corrupts.
Absolute power is kinda neat.

Ye Gods, but this game is horribly addictive . .
Came home around 11, went to bed around 6 in the morning . .
Played all the time in between and missed an appearantly huge thunder storm . .

Just finished my first playthrough this morning after roughly 60-70 hours of play (had Wed-Fri off so pretty much played through with light bursts of sleep until it was time to GM my SR game).

Overall, not bad. My only major gripe (there are several little ones, but they mostly have to do with interface and the PC version) is that Jenson, a corporate security chief, has to go to black market gun runners to get supplied. He should at least be able to get ammo'ed up on the weapons you can get fitted out with in the first factory mission (when you get your non/lethal and short/long range options). The little choices made throughout the various quests make it more lively and involved than Invisible War, and I like that it's actually possible to proceed in every major mission (and most minor ones) without engaging anyone but bosses. Hacking mechanic is fun and not tedious, too.

It did kind of crack me up when the game started and the CEO of the world's premier augmentation megacorporation was talking to his head of security, and was all "Okay, well, here's your own gun for this job.  Oh, and twenty rounds of assault rifle ammo.  Go get 'em, tiger!"

On the one hand, I guess it speaks well of his confidence in Adam's abilities...  ;D

Think that's funny, you should try the non-lethal/ranged route. "Here's your trank rifle and 10 darts for the 30 guys".

You still have Takedowns...or you can just bypass guards. Nonlehal close means you get 10 shots for Taser :)
