I should also point out - why would anyone ever do anything other than build custom OS/Hardware? It's cheaper, which is the exact opposite of how every other package deal works.
that's an interesting point, but only fits for the hardware, which i agree with.
for custom OS, the single parts are together more expensive than the package deal.

hence i say, custom commlink - nay! i can only assume response and signal are only 2 upgradeable parts from the whole "commlink package", which includes more than just them. custom os is legit and is useful to get higher firewall then system ;) see other thread...

Looks largely good. If you have karma to spend, replace the three rank 1 skills with 1 rank 3 skill, then buy the others with karma; it will save you 2 karma.

Awesome, wasn't sure which way to go with that, since you usually recommend skills at 1 or 4. ;D

If you could scratch up 4 points to have it at 4 that would be better, but I don't see where from.

Skills at 1 are actually inefficient for karma, it's just that if you really can't live without it, 1 is the minimum karma-wastage.

Also, what do you think of the revised build aside from
You may want to reconsider your lifestyle options.
Symbiosis is a negative(!) quality: anything less then high neighborhood and security(because it more or less includes the security of the whole neighborhood) should give you regular -2 dice pool modifiers.
living in a squatter neighborhood (Examples: Most of Puyallup Barrens) should give you a permanent -2 modifier to everything until you move away.

== Armor ==
Form-Fitting Half-Body Suit5/3
 +Carbon-Boron

Yamaha Sakura Fubuki
   +Barrel Reduction

FFBA is neither normal clothing nor armor clothing, so no Carbon.Boron infusion.
And i feel extremly iffy about Barrel Reduction on a metalstorm weapon, remember that ammo is in those barrels.

Good catch on the FFBA; I'll probably just kill it and add a SecureTec helmet to go with the other bits.

However, there is no special exception for the YSF saying it can't have Barrel Reduction, or that it is in any way treated in a way other than a normal weapon for mods. The game doesn't treat the technology any differently... and if you want to get into that level of detail, the different length of barrel each round travels down should mean the ones at the back should have different stats than the ones at the front.

Just a personal think, as in i would never allow it myself(or possible allowed and have it reduce ammo capacity to 7 or 8 per barrel), but if your GM is cool with it then thats all that matters.
Oh and the game does treat the technology differently, YSF gets the special narrow burst with only SA recoil.

This is for an "sanctioned" Missions table, though, and therefore what I want, or even my GM wants, is of greatly reduced importance compared to RAW... especially considering that's how my Missions GM feels about it.
