you have to click the notify button to get them. they are not just sent automaticly, and you get them only one notification pre thread, if you forget to check up after you get the email, that's your lost.
for me the notifications work very well, each morning i get 3-7 emails from this forum on discussions I am in.

Notification also work for me. Not very reliably, perhaps, sometimes it's immediate sometimes it takes a few hours, but eventually I do get a notification.

I tweaked Winter's qualities and fleshed out his contacts and key people a bit.  I updated the character sheet and added the contacts to his character description page in Google Docs.

I tweaked my character as well. You can find all my changes (includes short contact bios) in the big black book o runners.
