A nice starting point for building your own badass troll is Umaro's Archetype character The Bad Enough Trog.

Yeah, a lot of people get too focused on the "tank" aspect of a troll, and forget that to be effective in combat, you also need a decent dice pool to actually hit people with, multiple initiative passes, and decent ranged attacks.  UmaroVI's troll illustrates that.  Now, if you find the Bad Enough Trog is a bit too genteel, refined, and well-rounded for your taste, then here is one from me, the Abomination:

Designer Notes:

Yes, I am aware he would be more optimized as a dual blade-wielding heavy weapons platform; I wanted to differentiate it from UmaroVI's troll, so this guy is a brawler with a trusty heavy pistol as backup.

For his lifestyle, Neighborhood was trickiest.  I pictured it as somewhere near the outskirts of Glow City, a really nasty area BUT with some intact buildings and boosted power.  Thus the combination of Squatter Neighborhood and Rough Neighborhood.

His fake SIN is good enough to, say, ride the tube, and avoid everyday hassles.  It is not enough to get past any decent checkpoint, and if he is stopped, it is really just good enough to open negotiations on what bribe is needed - it shows he is at least making an effort.  Normally I get the highest-rated fake SIN possible, but it doesn't quite fit a near-feral Fomori ghoul living in an urban war zone.

His commlink is durable, but is not the typical Firewall: 6 + high Analyze of a shadowrunner's commlink.  To him, it is more of a convenience and fancy toy at this point.

No dodge skill, but someone who rolls 11 dice for non-full defense ranged dodge, able to block in melee even better, with around 30-ish dice to soak damage, doesn't really need it.

He does 13P damage (assuming fists and feet instead of claws - he does 14P if your GM lets natural weapons stack with all of his other damage modifiers, but otherwise you are better off using martial arts than clawing), and has a high enough dice pool that he usually hit with a decent number of net hits to do even more damage.  Most targets will drop with one hit.  Even other troll tank builds will at least be hurting.

VARIANT: He has plenty of dice for damage soaking, and a high Edge is very versatile, but you may want to think about moving 3 points from Edge to Body, for 3 more soak dice and an extra point on his condition monitor.  It is a lot easier to raise Edge from 2 to 5 with Karma than it is to raise Body from 11 to 14.

Personally, I'd say drop that Edge to 1 or 2 to make Charisma and Logic higher.  Two attributes of 1 would bring a LOT of GM aggro down on your head.

So will being a fomori ghoul changeling with Astral Hazing. Why go halfway on something like that?

Personally, I don't like being the target of that full-auto Panther crap in the first session I play the character.  :P

I envisioned this guy as someone who is almost feral at this point, living in a war zone with pretty limited contact with others.  So I see his mental Attributes getting raised relatively quickly once he starts having some minimal interaction with others again.

The good thing about high Edge characters is that, while high Edge is incredibly useful, it is not essential to any character concept (except Mr. Lucky).  So it is easy to shore up weak areas by reducing Edge, if there is a need.  So I could see dropping Edge by two to raise Logic by one, and get the Influence skill group at 1, if you felt that doing otherwise would bring some GM passive-aggressiveness down upon the character.  I would not raise Charisma to 2 at char-gen, though.  It's either 25 build points (since 2 is the maximum for a troll ghoul), or 10 karma after play begins.

But honestly, as UmaroVI pointed out, this is pretty much a build for pink mohawk style games.  In fact, the whole "troll tank who soaks a lot of damage and takes down opponents with one hit" concept tends to draw fire from GMs (why, I don't know - there are a lot nastier ways to optimize a character).

Yeah, my former UCAS soldier could fire his Ares Alpha with a decent dice pool (14) on full burst with no recoil penalties, and he didn't draw the aggro that the troll tank who hits like a freight train would.

The character I as a GM have thrown the most aggro at was a mage. Counting his boosted CHA to 12 sustained by his focus and 6 Will, 4 Edge, he was overcasting constantly and just wasting all magicsl threats on one or two hits. So I had him trapped alone in Bug City.
