Handle: double Tap
Real Name: Marcus Broady
Alias:  Robert Broady, Tommy O'conely
Description:  Male, human, 1.96 meters tall, 96 Kg, athletic build.  Blonde hair, and beard.
Bio:  A former Knight errant swat team member. Marcus broady was part of a investigation that went south, when the Perpetrator was a mid level Horizon Corp exec.  The fall out from the attempted arrest , turned into a fire fight cost Broady his job.  He now works a day job as a bouncer at "hard ballers" bar and grill.  Though new on the shadow running scean, he and the team he works with has pulled of a few jobs, and he is steadily moving up in the world.  He maintains some contacts with old friends in the law enforcement community.  His knowledge of procedures and tactics has served his team well.  He has some reservations about fighting his former comrades, so he purposly tries to avoid conflict with the police.  His main contact with knight errant detective captain harsk, has even netted the team a job.   Prefers to keep runs low key, and minimize collateral damage.  A good shooter, but is also the teams B&E guy.
MO:  A good shooter, but is also the teams B&E guy.  Not good with computers, but can spoof, rewire, and override  most hardware security measures.  will dress for the occasion.  (tends to avoid looking like a shadow runner)

This list is so wonderfully messed up and unsorted. Is it just for display or do you want help with this char, Stu?

One small suggestion (the first thing that jumped out at me) -- pick up the Firearms skill group, if you're going to keep Automatics, Long Guns, and Pistols, there's no reason not to lump them together and save a few points.

Also, particularly given your back-story, I'd look into the Lone Star SWAT package, from the cyberware suites over in Augmentation.  It's got plastic instead of kevlar, and augmentations instead of full cyberoptics, but it might be something you're still interested in, to save some nuyen and a pinch of Essence.  If you don't want to make the change, it seems like some of your stuff is similar enough the GM might still let you apply a package discount.

What sort of advice are you looking for?

I don't think you can actually claim to be able to bypass most hardware security measures. A Maglock 1 (100) with Keypad (50) and Anti-tamper 4 (400) is a 550Y security device that you can't get past without setting the alarm off 83% of the time.

Give him tap dancing skill as a means of escaping from his troubles.  When people ask about his name, he can put on a little show.  That will throw people off.

pardon the mess, I used hero lab to out put the sheet in HTML, so it came out kinda messed up.  so Hardware dose'nt let you bypass mag locks, and sensors?  I was kinda invisioning a guy that would bypass the physical security devices by messing with there innards, and wireing.   with out hacking through the matrix?

I orginally bought the fire arms group skill, but when it came time to advance him, I used the sub machine gun morethen anything else, so I decided to up his automatics skill.

I decidedto go with full cyber optics, becase i I ever wanted to modify or change the eys I could.

You're right in that that's what the Hardware skill does, it's just that right now you're not very awesome at it.

You can try, but umaro tried to emphasize, that for bypassing a cheap Antitemper4 system you need 4 successes with your dicepool of 7, or set off an alarm. Which will happen currently 83% of the time.

So, your basic problem is a severe case of Average-itis, in that you are about average at a whole lot of things. Unfortunately, in Shadowrun, that's not actually very useful, eg, you can roll Hardware, but you aren't actually good enough with it to solve a lot of common problems. You have like 6 different ways to roll agility+skill to inflict damage and you paid about 6 times as much for it as just having one way - and you aren't particularly great with any of them. And so on. If you want to be able to cover different roles, you need to focus on getting the most efficient things that let you be good at them.

I'm going to recommend taking a look at some of the characters in my sig - specifically the Generalist and the Spook - for examples of what I mean.
