This is my first attempt at a troll gunslinger adept - Marak. Made some more changes but almost there looking at more gear.
Let me know what you guys think.

I have some questions for you.

Fist off, what books/pdfs can you use in making this gunslinger?

Do you know if you GM will use the high strength as RC bonus optional rule?

Also I would recomend that you download chummer from here http://www.dndjunkie.com/dev/chummer/Chummer.zip
It's a really handy program when you are making your character.

With your current gear, there's no reason to take the firearms-skillgroup. If you at some point want to shoot rifles,okay, but so far, you're better of using these 40 points on buying Pistols 5, Automatics 5 (if you want to be equally able with both) or  something like this.
You also can get rid of Dodge, as Acrobatics in your Athletics-skillgroup covers that.
Perhaps you could look into some more points out of negative qualities, to raise your attributes, Body 5 and Strength 5 aren't particularly strong/tough for a troll (and both are quite important, for damage resistance and encumbrance/ for recoil-compensation (if your GM allows that).
Your Pilot-skill btw covers all groundcraft, motorbike would be a specialization!

As you still got money, take a look at the armor-section in the arsenal, especially FFBA.

Does your GM allow Geas on adept's powers? You also should try to get the Way of the Adept-book, as it has some really good options for adepts.

Fist of I'll just let you know that I'm as big a newbie when it comes to Shadowrun as you Marak but I'll try to help you out.

Fist off, unless I'm missing something, you have spent 245 BPs on your attributes so unless your GM has okay-ed that you will have to fix that.
You don't have any Logic linked skills so maybe you should bump it down to a 2 or raise it and pick up some Logic linked skills. (Armory would be helpful with the Attunment metamagic if you think you'll pick it up.) Now agility is a important attribute but maxing it out is really pricey, it costs an extra 15. You might want to think about lowering it or picking another Metatype. If you want to play a Troll, a bit of clumsiness is a part of the package.

You have maxed out both Magic and Edge which is costs you 130 BP, I would lower them both to 5 maybe settle with a Edge of 4 for a BP cost of 90-100. That's really all I have to say about your attributes.

If you can then you really should add more negative qualities for some sweet BPs, I recommend Incompetent for skills that you will never use, t.ex Archery.

Now on to the positive side of things  ;) I would recommend that you take a look at the Martial arts (page 156-200 of Arsenal). Firefight could really help you out if you ever get stuck in a fistfight. If you just take 5 BPs worth of martial arts you would be able to pick up the martial arts manuver Iaijutsu so you can quick draw all your weapons.  (Martial arts are optional rules so clear this with you Gm first.)

From what I understand a rule of thumb for creating characters in Shadowrun is that you want to have at least 4 in all the skills you want to be good at so free up some BPs and buff the skills you want to be really good at. So now I have to ask are you really going to use both Pistols and Automatics? I would pick one and excel at that.

My one and only shadowrun char has a Automatic Dice Poll of 14. (without smartgun) Bring It On! :P

But you make a good point, know your DM and make sure not to agro him.

But basicaly, with those 5 corebooks you are good to create almost anything you want.

Also, Combat sense is great, IMO you think about using Gymnastic dodge, snce you have athletic group. Note that it is impossible to use it while driving the vehicle (while Dodge works in that situation) Well that depends on how much time your character spents "in saddle"

Edge 6 is looot way more that I would evfer think about, but it can be great, I have player with charater like that in my group...

Don`t waste your BPs on pistols. Everything that could be done with those can be done with SMG, which is Automatics. You also have Assault Rifles in that.

I said good stuff.  :P  You pointed out possibly the second worst thing in the book in your first line. The worst being Priority generation.

While Incompetent (Archery) is a tad cheesy if you clearly are never going to use a bow, I will have to disagree with Incompetent (Palming).  Since you use palming to help hide items from sight, that's really handy for trying to smuggle firearms into a bar or when searched.  That comes up often enough to be worth the 5 points. 

I second Umaro's Gunslinger for ideas. 

I have you at 546 BP which is way over 400BP.  My breakdown: Attributes: 235 Special Attributes: 130 Race: 40 Skills: 120 Resources: 15 Contacts: 6. 

My suggestion is to lower your STR and Body by 1.  I'll soft agility to 4 as well.  After that, lower edge and magic to 5.  This will save you 95BP.  You have 51 BP more to lose.  My suggestion is pick up 20 more points of disadvantages and remove pistols for 32 saved.  I'm not sure where you want to cut the remaining 19 BP.  I'll cut Edge myself down to 1 until I could figure out if I could afford it.

Edit- As for Runner's Companion, it's my third least favorite SR book.  It's got a lot of flaws all over.  However, the qualities section is good and the custom lifestyle system is quite excellent especially if you ignore the more abusive lifestyle qualities (hint: if a lifestyle option gives you a dice pool bonus, it's likely too good).

Well I guess it would really depend on the campaign. I mean, I guess Incompetent (Archery) could be worth the points if you're playing in the NAN and you're commonly ridiculed/openly mocked for your inability to draw back a bowstring without launching the arrow at a 90 degree angle into the nearest horses ass.

I'd probably nix it as a GM though in most campaigns.

To be fair, it isn't as bad as Incompetent (Skill that you can't default on and never plan on buying).  Then again you generally can fill out on negative qualities that don't hurt you at all or are just mild inconveniences at worst.
