No, I think you can make it work. I'd probably still do the air->water->guidance shuffling for your last spirit type. The main things to keep in mind would be:

Remember that being possessed is super obvious and not at all subtle. Don't make plans based around being able to self-possess 24-7.

Possessing yourself is a good way to not die, because it gives you a lot of defenses, but only if you are possessed by a decently high-force spirit. Possessing yourself with low-force spirits is bad times. An Air Spirit with Elemental Aura is a good choice for this because Movement and Concealment work nicely with innate pixie powers, and it can attack very effectively while possessing you with Engulf+Elemental Aura.

Make sure you have a reliable thing for any low-force bound spirits you have around to inhabit. Homonculi are probably your best bet, since you don't want to use corpses and drones are probably not appropriate to your tradition. Plasteel Homonculi are really, really brutal (again, Air spirits with Elemental Aura). Wicker men are very cheap and are OK, and are better than Plasteel for spirit types that fight with powers rather than physical attacks (eg, with Fear, or Man spirits that are going to be spellcasting). Living heavily cybered dudes are great possession targets but also not something you can run around with all the time. Possessed heavily armored vehicles are really brutal, but also very unsubtle.

Oh, for the beginning I was thinking about myself, and maybe plants. ^^ But thanks a lot for the hints. :D I think I'll go along that line. :D But tomorrow morning, it's night over here already.

Windwalker tradition

The windwalker tradition originated from the fae people, and is related to the tradition of the witches and druids, as well as to the path of the wheel. Some even claim, that the human wise men and women learned some of their secrets from the small people. A claim in complete contradiction with common knowledge about the 5th age.

Windwalkers are guardians of the fae people, and many a noble, but no small number of the commoners as well, belongs to them. They try to follow one aspect of the the five fold path of the small people in their lives: hunters, gatherers, healers, story tellers and crafters.  Windwalkers consider themselves to be brothers and sisters of the spirits of nature around them, and readily share their own vessel with them. Thus their relation with spirits is on a very even and personal level. Very rarely a windwalker will order a spirit, rather he will ask for help, or trade, even haggle for support.

Away from calling spirits into their own body, windwalkers often awaken the spirits of common things around them: a swift breeze, a beautiful medicinal plant or a crafty hammer, and will abstain from forcing them to do anything that runs against the spirits „true nature“.

As a result, windwalkers usually do not choose a patron spirit, but instead are chosen by them. In most cases the respect of the true nature is reciproced, so a windwalker who especially cares for healing, is mostly chosen by great mother for example. In some rare cases, the happily mischievous naturell of the path of life can produce a rather unlikely combination of windwalker and patron. Such cases are usually seen as a sign of a great destiny … and an „interesting“ life by the small people.

Combat: Air
Detection: Guidance
Health: Plant
Illusion: Water
Manipulation: Task
Drain: Willpower + Charisma

What do you think? Where do I need to flesh it out a bit more?

So, does the Air Spirit's Concealment stack with the Pixie's Concealment, then? I.e. does a Magic 6 Pixie possessed by a Force 6 Spirit end up putting everyone at a -12 to spot them?

You know, actually, it probably shouldn't. I was thinking Pixie = Ruthenium, but it's actually Self Only Concealment. Allowing Concealment to stack with Concealment is the path of madness, because then you can also just have a whole bunch of spirits all concealment the same thing and make it -30 to see or whatever. Sorry about that. Air Elementals are still pro.

And they can Conceal your "Runner Buddies" as well.

Actually, since you can do your own bloody Concealment and let the Spirit just do the others, that means you can Conceal everyone with one force lower, which means less drain and less nuyen for binding. ;)

Make sure you pick up the "Hey, Listen!" specialization on your Negotiation as soon as you can.

Sorry for not answering during the weekend, busy times.

Where can I find that specialization?

Btw, the GM accepted the char incl. the tradition. The lack of money is even a very good hook for her getting into the shadows. :D

*grin* the GM will kill me :D But yeah ... I think Aurelie will be closer to this than to Haris Pilton.
