I think I have done it with Runner's Companion only...

NECESSITIES 2 (Food is a 4)
NEIGHBORHOOD 0 (Redmond Barrens)
SECURITY 4

Positive Qualities: Homegrown Farming +1
Negative Qualities: Crash Pad -1. Green Plan -1, Living By Committee -2, Network Bottleneck -1, No Privacy: Astral -3, Rough Neighborhood -1, This Isn't Big Bob's Autos -1, Worse Neighborhood -1

Jian made a manner of friendship with a powerful wiz-gang in Seattle, and thus has a home located in the gang's core turf holdings in the red-red-light districts of Redmond Barrens. It was converted from a smaller dormitory originally used by some of the gang's joytoys. Sure, it lacks direct grid access (mitigated by the very effective solar batteries next to the garden). Sure, sometimes the network here runs slow from all the traffic. Sure, the wiz-gang's presence basically lights up the astral here like an inferno. Sure, the similar home number gets callers trying to call the nearby brothel or bar.

But the mystic adept has no qualms whatsoever. The garden they helped him put in means he eats like a king, he has plenty of trids and sim-sense, free tabs and VIP access to the establishments controlled by the gang- which means all in the neighborhood. It doesn't cost a cent in the end, Jian pays in the occasional job/favor for the gang and the right to let gang members or other authorized people crash at his home. And the gang considers him one of their own ultimately, so he's well protected.

The Creepy Old House That Your Uncle Left You
Whoever he was, Uncle Fredrick left you a house in his will.  As long as you stay in it, his estate will cover the costs of upkeep.  It's an old mansion house that sits onto of a hill.  The neighborhood used to be nice but has gotten worse over the years.  However, you're far removed from those problems.  Heck, even if you screamed at the top of your lungs, no one would hear you.

You do wish that Uncle Fredrick could have laid out the furniture and amenties better.  Sure, it's all well-crafted antiques back when things were made out of solid wood, but you always feel exposed.  Not only that, you're sure a lot of the fixtures were designed to cause some sort of accident.  Why else would there be a trapdoor in the cellar?  The CHN is unhelpful, and the limited edition Renraku Manservent cleaner drone has a really odd hunchback.

Now if only you could figure out why the sound of horses neighs play on your commlink when you mention your uncle.  At least, if you could find your commlink most of the time.  It's like the house doesn't like you to call out.

I was going to suggest McMillan prison down in Puyallup.  It is supposedly easy to escape from.

Trashbags!
