For those familiar with Earthdawn, say you wanted to make an Elf that SURGEd into as close as can be
done mechanically as a Blood Elf.

While I know that you would have Thorns, Slow Healer, and Symbiosis(to represent the connection they
had to the Blood Wood), what OTHER Metagenetics traits would be necessary?(Note..I fully believe this
is going to end up a Class III Surge, yest, strangely, not that hugely freakish looking a one).

I can't off the head remember their ED stats but I think Metagenetic Improvement: Charisma would fit the concept.

Remember that blood elf weren't born with thorns. as infants they went through the ritual of thorns and that was why blood elfs continued to be blood elfs even after the scourge. I don't think anybody In the sixth world would but their babies through the ritual - not even some of the more twisted elves. Also remember that at Least Queen Alachia is alive in the sixth world (can't remember her current name) and I don't think she still has thorns so they must have found a way to reverse the ritual (or maybe it stopped by it self when the mana level dropped below a certain level).

Oh..I know they are not born with Thorns. No..what I was thinking is someone SURGEd, and the SURGE made
them extremely closely match someone who had gone through the Ritual of Thorns...close enough that some
of the IEs, if they ever ran across the character, might be a little uncomfortable...

Probably not to healthy to make IE umcomfortable  ;)

But you should be fine with what you got. After all Blood elfs are just ordinary elves with thorns.

Actually, it would seem that they have rules for exactly that.

Runner's Companion, page 119, Metagenetic Negative Quality:
Quote
Thorns
Cost: 10 BP
Hard, sharp protrusions a centimeter long protrude through
the character’s skin. These points resemble plant thorns. They
are, in fact, a modified form of keratin growing naturally from a
subdermal layer and painfully emerging from under the skin. They
regrow over a few days if cracked or broken.
Thorns make the character mildly more dangerous in unarmed
combat. Add +1 die to the Damage Value of any Unarmed
attack. Unfortunately, the character is in constant discomfort
(+1 to all Physical Tests) which varies from pain when a thorn
emerges through the skin to itchiness when they harden and dry
with time. The character must have clothing that accommodates
her unusual physique and may require customization of certain
gear (like armor).

Looks like they goofed a bit when updating it from SR3. It should probably be +1 DV to Unarmed, -1 die to Physical Tests.

TheNArrator, As I said, I know they would have Thorns, Slow Healing(to represent that the Blood Elves used one of
their recovery tests every day due to the thorns), and Symbiosis.

I am wondering what else one would use to "Best fit" the other mechanical traits of them.

A Blood Elf would also have at least a rating 1 high pain tolerance, a minimum 4 willpower also a 5 or 6 charisma
Knowledge is power, guard it well.

Charisma, not so much(compare their bonuses to the standard elf's, and they are not majorly different),
though, I can see "metagenetic improvement: Willpower"..*hmms* It might actually help to start with
a Dryad...since the Glamour effect duplicates their slightly boosted charisma, and it takes care of Symbiosis.
