What is the point of Paying for positive lifestyle quality if the enemy can use use it against me.

Example Hasty exit.

And how exactly is this enemy going to use your Hasty Exit against you?  It's a hasty exit, not an "unsecured and unobserved entrance".  It means that, if "the Man" kicks your front door in, you hve an alternate means to escape your domicile, in a swift fashion.

I can't think of any other Positive qualities that an enemy should be able to use against you, either.

And, finally: if you don't want to pay for it?  Don't take it.  Every quality for lifestyles is optional, not mandatory.

Is your GM threatening to use it against you somehow? I don't see anything in the quality description suggesting such a thing.

doesn't really sound like it was a threat as much as a "oh yeah, your house has hasty exit? sweet, they come in that way"  but but but but.
Carpe Noctem (seize the night)
Carpe per Diem (seize the pay), Carpe Dentum (seize the teeth), Carpe Denim (seize the pants)
Carpe Panem (seize the bread/capital)

no, i won't "just get over it."

NERPS!! for idiocy! NERPS!! for the minty fresh feeling! NERPS!! for gods! NERPS!! for guard duty!

Well if you really don't feel like paying for it I can give you the solution my Paranoid as hell Mage went for that gives the same effect.

Rent an apartment above the 3rd floor on a building, then thru a fake SIN also rent the apt directly below you. make sure NOT to have a fire escape to this apt and if possible no windows.
Now as for the cost of that "other" lifestlye just pay the rent don't turn on the water, power or gas or anything. Let it sit Vacant.

Then in your upstairs apt line a 2 meter square around your front door, on the inside, with a Detcord shaped charge made to be a cutting charge. As attackers rush in thru the door they now get dropped into the room below. Which, you have pre-set up drone guns set for motion detection and that have no wireless.

For added fun, while the goons deal with the new 6 foot square pit you made by the entrance you can have another charge to cut an escape hole either straight out of the building or down to a prepared spot in the downstairs appt. Just wall that  off from the "death room" and you can put your escape route there, or even go down another level.  The whole point to this to never let the team know where you are coming out and stay one step ahead. If you can chain this all the way to the sewer even better.

Had a similar setup with a paranoid street sam.  LMG on a smart firing platform under a laundry pile set to frag anything without one of his RFID tags on it.  Claymores on the windows and furniture from a McHugh's close out so bullets go right through.  Love the detcord idea, might have to crib that if he ever comes back.

Sounds to me like your GM has it in for you or is unskilled at forming challenges for your character. My suggestion? Sit down with your GM and review your character's backstory, family and friends, and lay out exactly what motivates your character. That way, the GM can make an interesting and challenging story tailored to your character.
