>>>>>[Like Wyrm said, you're still small time. And with that attitude, you'll stay small time, or you'll get killed the first time someone decides sending a spirit of fire your way would amuse them. Explosions encourage people to find you and make an example of you, if only because collateral damage is bad for business. Dealing with gangers and Barrens rats isn't the same as dealing with Yaks and corpsec, and it damn sure isn't the same as dealing with military or spec-ops. You want to teach people not to mess with you, the first thing you do is learn restraint. A nutjob who loves the fire and explosions is easy to take out or set up. A professional who picks his targets, and minimizes the collateral damage is harder to set up, and more likely to not get a hit put on him in the first place. Smiley makes an art out of vengeance. Me, I make the objects of my revenge into art. Wyrmy plays hell with them on the Matrix. The point is that we don't do random violence. We do good work, that makes people want to keep hiring us, and the people who cross us suffer very direct, very precise reprisals that send a very clear message about what they shouldn't have done.
Whether it is with my spells or my blade, people have learned that it is... unwise to try and cross me. However, as Wyrmy says, that does not make me invulnerable. I've had several hospital stays due to situations where someone did their best effort to kill me, having to get limbs replaced on more than one occasion. And I'm one of the lucky ones, since so far no one's wanted me dead enough to hire the professionals like Smiley to come after me. And I've never appeared on any 'most wanted' lists, either. The main reason for that is because I don't cause wanton death and destruction. Means the number of next of kin who have an urge to see me dead is much lower.]<<<<<
