>>>>>[Job went down fine, Money. Negotiations reached a standstill when they were insulted you'd sent a Ghoul to negotiate. Their sniper had been made by my Spirit of Man before he started getting twitchy, so my Spirit thought best to slam him with control thoughts. With a red dot now on the Face's forehead and the shadows around them literally moving in closer, they were much more pliable. They settled on 10k and I reminded them you don't renegotiate with Money Johnson.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Much appreciated, Chrona, pay delivered.  Honestly, don't renegotiate with any Johnson unless they've screwed you on intel or the job or pay.  It's unprofessional and why 'Runners and Johnsons have such bad names.

As for sending a Ghoul to negotiate, who was I going to send, the Good-Humor Ork with an SoyCream Cone?  Frag that!  I'm grabbing the biggest, meanest fragger I can get my hands on and sending them.

If you've ever heard of him, I sent The Suit in once.  I stopped doing that, the group gave up Shadowrunning and now have security jobs.  Except for one guy, apparently he went back to his real SIN and got into the ACHE to feel safe.  "The Accountant From Hell" indeed!  Yeah, better to send a big Ghoul or a Troll Combat Magician or something.

Still muddling through the Sperethiel parts with some ebooks I found, it fills the time in the tank at least.  The rest I figured out who they all are.  Bad guys who make Smiley look like the cute Dwarf Nurse I wish was still taking care of me.  Chipper cute thing.  World's better without 'em, and Uncle Murphy has a Death Guard if he wants it.  My wife'll have them if he won't.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Thank you Mr. Money, I was wondering about the people you left behind, and figured it was something like that.  Uncle Murphy didn't believe in much aside from living from one day to the next, and learning as much as he could, it's why...

I'll tell you in person.  Anyhow, all moved in, got the place secured, and helped the workers move the ork-strength furniture in.  There's noise about, but it feels so large, and, empty...  Ah well.  My own place, my first home, I guess.  Now to start on putting in work to get ahead on rent.  Also need to get some scrap plate from a Quartermaster I know, they just did some repairs on the Vancouver, so there's lots of it for sale as scrap, legally too.  I think that might be the first legal purchase I make from him...]<<<<<

Either way, I'm killing those guys anyway. I'm here, they're here, my fixer approved the kills and I already killed one of them. Anyone wants to hear the recording? ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Not really.  They're trying to win the hearts and minds of the public through a variety of means, so some might seem like a cult to some people because of that.  Yeah, all the Corps do, Aztechnology has been the best at spin jobs until recently (aggressive wars are hard to spin into positive things), but Horizon is doing it the best right now.

As for it being "Good for the soul", they do have a number of "deals" where a percentage of every purchase goes to charities either of their own creation or older, fully legitimate ones.  Yes, I checked the places out personally, and have had other people who are involved with charities with some shadow and light contacts check them too.  So, in a way, buying their goods could be called "good for your soul" by helping the charities.

Horizon is, however, "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma", to quote Winston Churchill.  The dirt on Horizon is pretty clean, individuals and departments, not anything big.  Not like the rest of the Corps.  Not that has been found, yet.]<<<<<
