>>>>>[From what I understand, everything works a lot easier if you have to replace the entire limb than healing up large parts of them. They have basic Type O parts in stock in any major sprawl, and from what the doc said even if you're not in a major sprawl, they can usually get them by next day air. Of course, that's only for... official facilities. Shadow clinics have different rules, natch. Depends how good your street doc is, or how well supplied your hospital may be. The main problem I have now is training up the new limbs to the same condition the old ones were in.

By comparison, Xerena had pretty severe burns over a good bit of her body, which meant they had to actually go and heal up those wounds. Which takes much longer. Crazy, no?

We're out on the beach now, enjoying a bit of sun without a breather for the first time in days. Strange how clean the air is here. Guess that is what happens when you have a country ruled by a dragon. They tend to look after the environment more than others. The beaches are interesting, to be sure. There's a centaur couple on the next towel over, and some free spirits playing in the water. And that isn't the craziest sight out here.]<<<<<

This place has such a wonderful atmosphere. I'm glad you insisted we come here, Miri. It really is lovely.

You know what? I'm just going to switch this thing off and enjoy the place and the company. I am on holiday, after all. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Ah, night in Metropole. We're catching a couple drinks now, before taking a late night flight to New Orleans. Risks either way, of course. You go in the middle of the day, it is easier to get lost in the crowd, but it is also harder to spot surveillance. And harder to spot an ambush before you're stuck in it. You go late at night, and there are fewer spooks around, any surveillance is easier to spot, and you have a chance to catch an ambush before you're trapped. Down side: it is easier for anyone watching to spot you.

Personally, when you know the Azzies want you, it is usually better to be able to see them coming.]<<<<<

>>>>>[The flight was smooth, no troubles. Didn't really expect any, to be honest. Getting an agent into Amazonia and into position so quickly would be impressive, even for the Azzies. And I don't think we're quite worth exposing sleepers that might already in country. Getting out of the CAS will be more interesting, though.

Anyways, the resort bar is lovely. Good, strong drinks, and a minimum of crazy to go with it. Wolfgar, you certainly know how to pick them! Now I think I'm going to actually get some rest, once I put a ward around the room. I'll leave it so you and Xerena can pass through, Wolf. Just a weak thing, so we have some warning if anyone comes calling.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Madrecita, what do you think I am? I'm not a bounty hunter, I don't do floating bounties. I'm a professional wetwork artist, if someone wants me to kill somebody he's going to ask me in person and give me the required advance. Besides, I got plenty of work, no need for me to go chasing my own contacts when I can choose a target which is no use to me. On top of all, I got an annoying pretty princess to train. She's better than I thought and might even make it as an assassin but she's still annoying.

Speaking of Autumn, tomorrow's the big day for her. First contract on her own. I sneaked a peek at what she's planning and, surprisingly, it should work... Providing that she doesn't screw up or choke. Hahaha. She's putting a lot of energy on this one, I did said she would love her first contract. She's getting ready for her flight. I'll give news of her success... Or failure.]<<<<<

Or did you think that pulling a job in the main pyramid in Tenochtitlan wasn't going to be like kicking in the door of a UB chapterhouse to see what the buzzing sound you heard was?

I'll let Madrecita take care of sending you the chip, and posting what we saw on the nets. Not sure where the wyrm's people will want to see it, now that Shadowland is gone.

And thanks, Murphy. Things have been crazy, but glad to hear you're keeping busy. Don't forget, it is easy to tell when a politician is scheming something. They're still breathing.]<<<<<

Breaking news. Authorities confirms that Yamamoto Hiroto and his wife were found dead in their loft, in Osaka, yesterday evening. Autopsies are still ongoing but champagne glasses with traces of what could be poison were found on the scene. The bodies were discovered by their daughter a few hours after their death. At this morning press release from the authorities, Captain Akita Tsubasa said that nothing was conclusive yet but that everything was pointing towards suicide. Yamamoto Hiroto was the CEO of Bright Star Agency, a subsidiary of Shiawase Corporation. Bright Star Agency stocks were, in the last few weeks, alarmingly taking a drop in value and is now on verge of collapse, fueling the suicide theory of its CEO. Shiawase Corporation has yet to present a press release but a representative from the corporation told us that they will present one in the next few days. On this, I am Nara Moriko from Osaka News and I will be following this story closely.
// end file //

Now that's a job well done! Planned to every details, including the stock value drop. Hahaha! Not bad! Not bad at all! She's due to come back in a few days, assuming she doesn't get arrested before. Money, I'll take you up on that offer to train her for a little while. I rely too much on sorcery to cover my tracks and she needs someone to show her more mundane ways of doing that. Nah, that's a lame excuse I know... Like I don't know the mundane tricks as well. I really just need someone to get the little princess off my plate for a week or two because I need to take care of something. Well, someone in fact. An idiot who has the guts of calling himself The Mysterious Man (I killed the last one might I add) sent me an invitation for a meeting to discuss a business proposal. Apparently some of the best independent wetwork specialists I know will also be attending. The whole thing smells like drek and screams a setup. I'm pretty conflicted about what I'm going to do with this. My whole being is telling me to just snap the fool's neck before the meet but my curiosity might get the best of me... We'll see I guess.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Glad to hear the protege is working out, Smiley. As far as the meet goes, you're right that kind of thing smells. You don't just gather the top wetwork guys in the world in one place unless it is a trap, or you need them to take on what is likely a suicide mission, like trying to kill Lofwyr. I'd say you may want to consider breaking down and getting a team to back you up. It is easier to do wetwork solo than to escape an ambush solo. Having a team to cause a distraction could be an easy way of getting out of a bad situation.

Vacation is still going well. Making plans to take an orbital up to Evo's resort after this.]<<<<<

Thank you, Murphy. It's good to know you're getting on well.

Congratulations on your protege, Smiley. It sounds like she's turning into a first rate assassin. You'll have to watch your tail before too much longer...

Lovely vacation so far, even if most of it is being spent getting back into shape and working on my tan. Not that we hispanics really need to...but it is very relaxing. I'm not sure what the orbital can offer that this place doesn't..but I'm sure Miri will educate me. It's so strange to be able to see the moon and stars again at night. Okay, so they're not as visible as they are in Yakut...but certainly better than in Seattle or that ghastly place Tenochtitlan. ]<<<<<
