So I was looking at my Runner's Compagnion reading the roles they put at the beginning and under "Close Quarter Combat" about at the end of the segment there was a mention about some rigger improvising themselfs as melee specialist with drones with mechanical arms..so i picked my "Arsenal" book to look up mechnical arms and to see what drones i could use it on cause i love making up weird builds for kicks but unfortunatly for me even the biggest drones only have a body of 4 (mechinical arm str= vehicule body) So i was a bid dissapointed ( i know there are rules to put cyberwares on it but i never take optional rules for granted).

So Really wanted to make some kind of melee robot I thought to myself "mmmh hey what if i put that on a car?...isint there a mod that makes a vehicules a walker?"

Looking up the walker mode i saw that "any" vehicules of 10 or less body are eligible for the mod.

Then I went to the car section and looked up the Hyundai Shin-Hyung..wich had 10 Body and + 4 mod slots for a mere 17k nuyen.
Now to make a small army fo those..

Anti-tank weaponry may count as anti-theft measures depending on who you ask.

That depends, does the Pilot program have orders to shoot anyone trying to get in that's not it's owner? ;D

This is, brilliant. My next rigger is going to have one of these with 20 armor, a rigger caccoon(of course), and mechanical arms. ECM, touch sensors, and rating ten non-conductivity would be good choices too. I'm seeing something along the lines of a Wanzer. (compliments of Front Mission)

Of course it is tempting to get a turret mount instead and slap a heavy autocannon on there. What would your trigger happy, overly strapped rigger equip his walker with?

Something like a naval Phalanx system simply because nothing says "stop your cat crapping on my lawn" than digging trenches with autofire 8) ?
An Awful lot of people believe a lot of very strange things indeed for no valid reason I can see. They can`t all be right but it is quite likely they all can be very wrong.

So, basically this is what you are saying:

Hyundai Shin-Hyung (Sedan)
   +Armor, Normal Rating 20
+Special Armor Mod, Nonconductivity Rating 10
   +Chameleon Coating
   +ECM Rating 10
   +Mechanical Arm
   +Mechanical Arm
   +Rigger Adaptation
   +Rigger Cocoon, Basic
   +Walker Mode
+Weapon Mount (Reinforced, External, Fixed, Remote)
   +Vehicle Sensor

A steal, for 67,500, but Chummer calculates a max speed of 48 - being outrun by Scoots, or just a regular guy with inline skates is not fun...

That's basically what I was thinking  :). How does chummer come up with that speed though? The Hyung has speed 160 normally and the walker mod only cuts it in half. Being able to stomp on whoever is following you should even the speed problem up a bit anyway. You could always drop a healthy dose of cash into another vehicle, putting LTA, specialized equipment (heavy duty winch inside a carrying hold), some signature masking and maybe some chameleon coating. Then you have a nice pick up vehicle for whenever you need to get away from those annoyingly fast rollerbladers

There's also the whole option of modding the arms like cyberlimbs.

It must be factoring in the 20% drop in speed from having an armour value higher than your vehicle's body.

The speed only gets cut in half while it's in walker mode, though. If it's transformable, you'd still be doing the (160-20%=128) with a very heavily armored vehicle.

If it's a full-time Walker, you'd want a transport for it anyway.
