Johnny sighed and stands up straight "If he's in we might as well listen to any ideas he might have. He's the local anyway." He looked at Sam then at Matty "Any ideas on what we can do to solve any of our problems?"

Matty shrugs, "This is my best idea.  If it matters I'm good for an even share, once I sell my bike.  If you guys decide to go a different way I'm down, but Tony is the only fixer I know, and he does have the pull to give us problems if he wants to."

"Say, Clem," Sammy said, "How much could we get from that guy you contacted and how much interest payment did he ask again?  I have a good friend in the biz, mage like me, who I can ask for a loan.  It wouldn't be the first time we borrow money off each other.  But I'd rather not ask for the full 50K."

"I didn't ask for all the details, but I'm sure it'll be on the level" replied Clementine. She then wrote a message to her contact. "About that loan, omae, how much would 50k come to?"

"Might want to make sure he's aware it's across eight people - I'd rather our debts don't come down on your head if something should happen."

The text message that comes back says: "Fifty can be easily done, if repaid within 24 hours there will only be a small fee.  Needless to say, standard rates will apply after that.  The day will begin upon transmission of funds, which will occur when I have an account to send to."

"Let me have a go," Sammy said.  She requested the other commlink the group had, as the one she was carrying was currently in a teleconference with the other group and they might want to keep that.  With the other she called Melissa.

"Hey, Melissa," she said as soon as connection was made, "how are things in LA?  Sunny I expect."


If she can't make connection, she will leave a message along the lines of: 'it's Sammy here, can you call me back as soon as possible.'

Melissa Firebird looks gorgeous as usual in her cam image, though Sammy knows she uses soft lighting features and airbrush filters in her commlinks.

"Samantha!  Of course it is, it's LA!  Not that I would know, got a big ritual project coming up and I am always stuck in this musty basement in the library practicing sigils.  What up girl?  You sick of the dreary Emerald City days yet?"

"Not really," Sammy said, "although I'm not in Seattle just at the moment.  And that's a bit why I call.  I got stuck in some one-horse town in the middle of nowhere in Salish-Sidhe territory, and now I need to get back to Seattle.  Without attracting too much attention, preferably.  And that means cash.  I guess you can hear me coming on this?"

"Sure, what do need,  a thousand, 1500?"

"Matty we've got more problems then just catching a ride." Johnny sighed and took the gun from Matty. He ejected the clip to make sure it was loaded and gave the gun a cursory examination before slamming the clip back in. "We have been working with next to nothing. We could use a few more comms, a couple more guns... You know, the basics.Hell you said you work with tools right? You said something about finding work in a chop shop? Does that mean your good with cars? Cause we are short on a dependable ride too. " Johnny slipped the gun into the back of his waistband and pulled his shirt to cover it. "First rule of this kinda work is to figure out what you got to work with and who do you know?"

All this talk of payments and debts reminded Fionn that he hadn't even considered to see if there'd been an advance paid on the job in the first place, and if there was how much might be remaining.  Navigating his way to the right spot on the Matrix, he checked into his own recent accounts history.

"Well, there's a bit of a problem," Sammy said a bit hesitant, "And it's kinda akward, but it would be more in the region of 10 times that."

[Crossbow]

Matty looked kinda smug, "I can fix cars, bikes, trucks and most things that fly or float, but most of the folks I used to know are still in jail, or living in the Cascades.  Anyone I know around here works for Mazzarini, so we gotta work through him."

Melissa looks concerned and a little excited, she is one of the few people in LA that knows something of why Samantha went to Seattle. "Girl what have you gotten into?  I can get that kinda cash together,  but I need a few days, it won't be for something bad will it?"
