Sammy had been glad to have arrived at the cabin.  Luckily the air quality was good, so her asthma didn't play up all that much.  But next time she would have to insist on keeping one of her inhalers with her.

"I don't know much about driving," Sammy said when she had put on some clothes, "it's amazing how quickly one becomes accustomed to having a driver.  Oh yeah, before I forget, magical shower time."

She stood there for a moment, and suddenly her hair put itself into a braid and the little pieces of dirt in her hair, beneath her nails and everywhere else removed themselves automatically.  Her nails also got a simple polish, not in colour but still it was clear that there was a layer of polish on her nails now.
"Much better, don't you think," she said, "anybody else wants one?"

So I get clean and I do a basic make-over: some simple nail polish, braid my hair, simple things like that.  Not so much to get the last styles as much as to get clean.

"I'll drive" says Clementine while having a look at the SUV. "And the sooner we leave, the better. I vote for dawn."

"If we aim to leave do soon, though, I may be left without the time I'd need tonight to prepare.  The process is quite arduous, and takes a good deal of time - to say nothing of the harm it may do me in the short term."  Fionn was struggling to find terms the ork would understand, which was difficult given that magic was his closest comparison and she seemed to have relatively little knowledge of it.  "Put it to you this way: ever worked with a mage that needed to take some time out to conduct a binding ritual?  The process is not dissimilar, though I've no need of special materials."

"In that case" replies Clementine, taking some time off her inspection to look at Fionn straight in the eyes, a serious and unamused look on her face, "you should stop wasting time and get to your "meditation" as soon as possible."

"Seeing as I'll be...  Elsewhere for the duration, it's best that any business on this side is settled first.  When the time is considered in hours, a few minutes here or there shouldn't be an issue."

Looking around the cabin, Sam sighed. Definitely not on my places to come back to, he thought to himself. No hot water, no shower, no room service...

Looking through the closets, Sam was happy to find a set of clothing which fit him fairly well. After pulling on a pair of brown overalls and a plaid shirt, he looked at himself in the mirror. I look like a friggin' lumberjack in this getup, but the fit's pretty good.

Once he was dressed to his satisfaction, he went to have a look at the SUV.

Specifically, wanting to make sure it's in decent running condition, how many of us can fit it it, etc. Sam has some familiarity with cars, but no mechanical ability, so he'll be able to see if it runs, but probably won't be able to identify (or fix) any problems.

Finding the closet he helped himself to a loose pair of jeans and shirt.
Well I look like a my clothes shrunk in the wash, but at least they're clean and warmer than what I was wearing.

Fionn finds some loose-fitting clothes, and quite fortunately a belt capable of holding the pants up.  Guess this is what happens when you don't pay attention to whether or not you've eaten...

Johnny stepped out out of the woods and walked to stand over O'Conner. "This should have everything you need." He dropped the backpack at the con's feet. "Its got ammo, some real clothes, a first aid kit, and a water skin." Johnny turned and walked into the cabin without waiting for a reply.

"Okay Fionn," Sammy said, "what do you want.  Another colour on your hair, maybe get rid of some hair.  It doesn't hurt as much as a Brazilian wax, let me tell you.  I can do your nails as well.  But you have to tell my up front, makes it easier."

O'Connor changed into the clothing he found in the bag Johnny gave him.. As satisfying as it was having the skin of the creature that busted his ribs wrapped around his junk, he was ready for some real clothes. After changing, he rummaged through the bag's contents. He pulled out a a box containing ten round of ammo for the rifle, That old geezer obviously hates technology an' all, but I can't believe he would pay money for this rifle. Five round capacity an' an internal magazine? I'm surprised I don't have to pack black powder an' a lead ball down the muzzle.

"Well, don't go cutting the hair on my head, but otherwise?  I'm just crazy enough to leave the rest up to you."  Fionn arched an eyebrow at the actress.  "Figure you've got a better eye for this things than I do."

Johnny looked around the cabin for anything useful or interesting while walking through it to the closet. "Hey... Heron right? Anything suitable for a groovy man like myself in there?"
