Hi I'm working on a character for a Play-by-Post that I might be joining soon and I was hoping that you kind people could take a look at my character and give me some criticism/suggestions.

The GM asked for K.I.S.S. characters so I'm only using the core book also the "Strength and Recoil" and "Maximum Armor Modification"-optional rules will be used.

Lastly every character has to start with the contact Jack, a Fixer but her connection rating of 2 is a freebie. (Witch I forgot when I put Steel-Storm together so he has two BPs to spare)

I typically avoid scattering around those "1 rank" skills.

You have 11 skills with only one point in them. That's a lot of BP tied up in being meh.

Strictly looking at the math, you're not doing yourself any favors by being slightly-better-than-default at a bunch of stuff. Better to focus on your role within the party, default for the stuff you're not specifically trained in, and let your team pick up the slack.

You start to get some returns for 2 points in a skill, but only after you've defined your role in the team. You don't have to hyper-specialize (unless you're building an elite team of badassery), and if your GM is going for a low-power game that's fine, etc, etc, caveat, caveat...but personally, 2 rank minimum for dumping BP into a skill, unless it's a hobby or something.

You want an odd BOD, this is where boxes come and go. Similarly, your 4 WIL doesn't do anything for you over a 3 really, and since for optimizations sake you should also take an odd number on your STR, bump that up 1 when you drop your WIL 1, then find 10 more BP (NQs?) to bump your BOD up 1 too.

I'd say your rank 1 skills are fine so long as you intend on developing them down the road (especially since most of them are from the Athletics and Outdoors Skill Groups - you did buy the skill groups right?). You're doing it right from a Karma Efficiency standpoint anyway - i.e. splitting all taken skills between 1s and 4s (+ the 6 of course). However, you should drop Dodge, since you have Blades and Gymnastics it does nothing for you. With the saved BP, you could help out your Perception maybe? You'll net 4 BP from this, so if you can scrounge up 2 more BP somewhere (like NQs?), you could take a rank in the Influence Skill Group so you might actually have something to do during a Play-by-Post game (heh). Also, you won't be much of a B&E guy if you don't have some Hardware for Maglocks... a Passkey and an Autopicker probably ain't gonna cut it.

It appears that you haven't taken all of your Neg Qualities worth of BP? You really should take advantage of this to get the max 35 BP and add flavor to your character.

Take a look at whether your really want to spend the Y and ESS on those cyber-ears and eyes. You can get pretty much the same stuff on contacts/glasses and earbuds for a fraction of the cost and no ESS. Granted you won't be quite as loaded out of the gate, but it may be worth it for you - weigh it out...

Also, you're not coming anywhere near your optimal Armor, but I just realized you only get the core book so never mind.

Otherwise that's about as KISS of a street-sam as you can get. Should serve you fine.

I didn't realized that I had eleven rank 1 skills, I'll see if I can raise or remove any of them

Well I should have mention this but the character already has 200 BPs in Attributes so I can't raise both BOD and STR. Seeing as this character is focused on ranged combat I guess that BOD has a high priority then STR, right?

I'd say your rank 1 skills are fine so long as you intend on developing them down the road (especially since most of them are from the Athletics and Outdoors Skill Groups - you did buy the skill groups right?). Well you are absolutely right about dodge, I'll definitely remove those ranks. I hoped that the Passkey and Autopicker would be enough for some basic B&E but if isn't the case I might remove them or something.

It appears that you haven't taken all of your Neg Qualities worth of BP? You really should take advantage of this to get the max 35 BP and add flavor to your character.

Well I haven't maxed out Stens Neg Qualities because I don't want to my character to appear too cheesy and TBH I think that a lot of the NQs in the core-book are a bit uninteresting, but I'll have a look and see if I can pick up any more.

Take a look at whether your really want to spend the Y and ESS on those cyber-ears and eyes. You can get pretty much the same stuff on contacts/glasses and earbuds for a fraction of the cost and no ESS. Not gonna lie I picked up the cybereyes/ears because I was in the "spend ALL the essence!"-phase of character-creation. I wanted to get a wide spectrum of addition senses to assist Sten during infiltration. If I drop that part of his character his extra senses might be unnecessary.

Well thanks to the both of you for your feedback.
