That's making my wrist hurt just looking at it.

Whelp that definitely is a SS that manages to do a burst. So it's an always-short-burst Single-shot Revolver. ^_^

Think there was something similar in previous editions, a gun firing two bullets at once (which can be pretty common, but not as a semi automatic handgun)

That would be a pain to reload, and aim, and not hit yourself in the head with. I love it.

...I just want to know what caliber it is.

If it's based on the Lefaucheux 20-round revolver:  7.65mm Pinfire.

...

No, it isn't.  It's the 18-shot Pistola con Caricato revolver, which is in 6.35x16mm semi-rimmed caliber (.25 ACP).  Which means it uses 18-round "Moon" Clips.  (Yes, I said clips, because it's RIGHT in this instance!)

So I googled a bit, and apparently moon clips are indeed the revolver version of clips rather than advanced speedloaders, since you just click them into place. Wonder how much a Moon Clip mod for revolvers would cost in Shadowrun, and how many slots it would take - aside from only needing a Free and Simple Action to reload a smart revolver instead of a Complex, it makes it easier to carry the empty cartridges with you afterwards.

Said to myself: "If that's loaded with anything bigger than a .22 then it's going to be a pain on the wrists." Fortunately a .25 isn't (much) bigger than a .22.

Because I enjoy watching people hurt themselves doing stupid things, I want to see someone make one of those that takes the same ammo as a Desert Eagle.

Wouldn't that be a simple+simple(so no faster then complex action it takes to use speed loader), both removing and inserting a new clip is a single action.

Not with a smartgun, if it counts as a Shadowrun-clip.

Only if they film it in HD with a good boom mike so we hear the wrist bones shatter.

Some ideas... of course.

The mass of the gun would reduce some of the kick back...
You could have different ammo on each barrel, determined at loading time.
The Troll version could have high caliber on the inner barrels...
Oh!  A grenade launcher for the inner barrel...

Why not have grenade launchers on all the barrels? And do reduced weight, too, for comedy gold.

I keep telling people I'm evil, and they just keep not believing me.

This reminds me of the elephant gun from Grimm.

The combo of ss/ bf is quite interesting. As is having a mixture of ammo types. ie:Two slugs and a flichette. Sounds horrible to be on the other end of this thing...but I can't help but feel...love. recoil and reloading would be a hassle I'm sure, but I guess that why you move to your secondary. Hell even if 5th edition doesn't have it, it means its time to find an armorer.

If you empty all the rounds from this thing, chances are you either a) have all the time you want to reload because your opponent has been converted into ground chuck, or b) it doesn't matter because if it survived all that, you are about to become ground chuck.

Going back to 19th century firearm philosophy (because revolver chambering was the only way to fire repeatedly without reloading at the beginning of the 19th century), could you mod a shotgun/revolver hybrid out of that design? Basically a 3-barreled shotgun which used a revolver chambering system instead of a conventional one.

Why? because burst fire medium choke hurts people bad, and at some point someone would use it with rollerskates (you know they would) and someone else would catch the results on cybereyes. And it would be awesome.

You could with either a really revolver rifle for a small shotgun round (in which case it defeats the purpose, unless you're playing Steampunk Shadowrun) or it was a high-physical stat troll chamber the inner and outer ring like a Taurus Judge - able to take .45 LC or a 410 shotgun round.
