Title: [OOC]FAMILY Matters
Post by: RagallachMC on <11-16-14/2235:12>
Welcome to the game everyone!

A few quick points:

- I want this to be fun for me and all of you.  If there's something that's not fun, let me know.

- I haven't GM'd an SR game since 3e, so I'm still learning the rules.  If you feel like I missed something or handled it wrong or just botched it, let me know and we'll fix it.

- I want to tell a cool and fun story.  I hope you all do as well.  Let's be respectful of each other and give everyone a chance to chime in and contribute.

-know the rules for your characters.  That will help me out a lot.

-Let's keep IC as clean as possible.  All dice rolling an ooc chatter should be in here.

Looking forward to where this game goes.

First off i"m stoked we are getting this puppy ready to fly!

Secondly, did you have any specific way you wanted us to post? Specific color coding for interactions or will anything fly as long as we lay it out ahead of time or in the signature?

i assume we are using invisible castle for rolls?

I totally agree. If there are any rules, suggestions or anything you'd like to take over from RR's and my group, feel free to do so.

I'd like to see different colors for the different ways to communicate.  I like the setup in Voler/RR's game but As long as it's easy to follow in the posts, I can work with it.

Use whichever online dice roller you'd like or roll them analogue style.  We can all trust each other not to fudge rolls.  Just post the dice rolls here.

GM info: Freeze is always hungry due to an augmentation I really don't know what its called in English. And due to him being a troll.

We got multiple trolls hu?  Sweet!

I've been busy and not paying real close attention so I have no idea what other folks are playing...at this point that's seems fine since we haven't met.  That said, at some point once our characters are working together, it would be cool to have the character info we want to share in some central place...maybe we already have this and I missed it, in which case I apologize for confusing everyone :)

I think the only 2 who didn't post their sheets in the old thread were you and Shrazkil.  But I agree that having the char sheets in one place will make things easier.  Especially for me :)

So if everyone would copy and paste their sheets into the ooc thread, I'd appreciate it.

And, Dave is the only troll in the group.

I'm still tweaking some minor stuff, but nothing that's a game changer.  Just a skill point here and there and some descriptive fluff.  Trying to get the "feel" right, if ya know hat I mean :)

== Description ==
Most folks just see Dave as another troll, big, heavy, and strong. Oh, and you can't forget the horns!

== Background ==
Dave grew up as a troll in Redmond, the child of two human parents Dave was left to live on the streets, where other kids helped her find her way. The human kids assumed all trolls where male which resulted in her name, Dave, which has stuck to this day.

She never had enough money to buy a decent gun, but an older Japanese man taught her to use a bow, and she would hunt rats for food, which actually tast good, especially when the're cooked over a flaming barrel and then dunked in soy syrup.

As she got older she got into music and started doing some DJ work for local troll friendly bars...but we all know that doesn't pay, so she took advantage of her archery skill and physical ability and started getting security work in the underworld. Over time she made a few connections, and is now focusing on Shadowrunning. She enjoys the teamwork, and the chance to improve her skills by practicing on real live targets.

== Concept ==
Troll, light tank, adept, unarmed combat and archery.

== Notes ==
Dave lives on the top level of small old parking garage in a primarily abandoned area, she sleeps in the top entrance near the stairs and a long dead elevator.

Dave's trying to see how long it will take to get to The Hangar by walking and public transport, including time to swing by the "loft" (aka where Dave sleeps) to drop off the bow and the raccoon.  Dave is also trying to see if she can recall anything about the Hangar place.

She's making a knowledge local check for this, not sure if you want a single check or two separate ones so I'm rolling two and you can combine the check and use the first roll if you want, your call :)

Knowledge Local (pool of 5): 6 6 3 1 6 (3 Successes)

and again, if you want a second check specifically about The Hangar

Knowledge Local (pool of 5): 2 2 5 5 6 (3 Successes)

NOTE: Got this free dice app, looks legit but I've never really used it before, so who knows, I'm really not a huge fan of digital dice.  I just moved and don't have my real dice so I'll be buying some new ones asap!  In the mean time if any one has suggestions for a dice roller let me know :)

Cheers, Omae, here’s my char:

MacC

General Info

Street name: MacC, or just Mac
Metatype: Dwarf
Profession: Shaman
Nuyen: way too few

Curriculum Vitae

January 7th, 2053. That’s my birthday. And about the only data you’re going to get from me. Data drains life of every event the way a vampire sucks blood from a human being, leaving behind but a dead, meaningless shell.
That’s a better way to start my story: One freezing morning my mum woke up and immediately felt the time has come. She would become a mother. My dad was already at work – supplements department at DocW’s, a job as boring as he is. As far as I know it was our neighbour (the mean one, with the kittens) who brought her to the hospital. She laboured for almost three days until she finally gave birth to Fitzgerald McConnan (a name I thought was her revenge for my making her suffer) in the middle of a cruelly cold winter night. This tells you two things about me:
a)   She could have had the doctors do an emperor’s cut, but her will never gave in. She passed this attribute on to me.
b)   I tend to hurt people who are close to me.

I’m a Dwarf. That said, you know everything about my childhood. I was teased by the long ones (that is, until they found out that Dwarves are stronger than humans or pixies). I was forced to excel in maths, handle computers, live a boneless life. Things became interesting, however, when I reached puberty. Or so I thought. It was most classic. My father, prone to synthowhiskey (which made me furious) told me off. Bad marks, I s’pose. Maths would be my guess. I had had a real bad day. A fight with some friends, problems at school – adolescence stuff. Mum was going to stand up for me, but that only made things worse: Dad was already drunk. I was close to tears already, just about to scream when Dad made the mistake: He started yelling at my mother. A roar of fury burst out of my lungs – and the whiskey glass shattered into a thousand pieces (a trick I was never again able to pull off). The scene froze. And my ordeal began.
A Dwarf. A corpses‘ brat. You guess: mage or shaman? Right. I was moved to a magical highschool quite immediately. Geometrical formulae, hypothetical interplanar maps, statistics and Awakened rates, biometrical functions of auraless bodies, theories on the reciprocal influence of mana tides and radiation. It killed me. Every exam on Alchemical Analysis, every page of our Hermetical Heritage textbook, every word spat out by our Lex Arcana professor took away a quantum of my passion, my lust for magic. This was not my life. But funny enough, it was school as showed me my path.
I remember it as distinctly as my first kiss: the moment when I turned the page of Hermetical Heritage, yawning, and saw the chapter headline: The Shamanic tradition. In that instant my life changed. I thought it a myth, Howling Coyote a legend (I was still a kid, mind you, chummer). I got focussed again, passionate as only a Dwarf can be. I spent my whole time reading: research an shamanism, magical history books, silly novels about Red Indian shamans and Spanish witches, esoteric manuals. There was more drek than not, but still, it helped me find my way. And it felt right.
I became obsessed by the search for my totem. What would it be? Serpent? Gator? Hopefully not Rat! I fast-forward to when I found Him. I was sitting on the terrace of the school canteen, feeding pigeons, lost in thoughts. Not Pigeon, please not Pigeon. Is Pigeon even a totem? I watched these plump, ugly creatures with disgust, looked into those hollow, red eyes with contempt. Then a crow appeared and stole some crumbs. It was beautiful, black and perfect. I smiled, but then a movement shattered the kindling thought. Some pigeons had stirred, my crow fled. Not Crow then, I thought, sighing. Then I paused. Finding your totem wasn’t about turning a cat into a lion, it was about finding yourself. I remembered those greedy, clever eyes and imagined it reflecting my image. I haven’t been a fighter my whole life, except when I had to. When bigger boys bullied me, I decided to flee rather than fight. I grew restless. Whenever I saw one of those beautiful birds, it was like Crow greeting me.
I can’t remember how I met Wiz Wes. He was some uncle’s friend or so. Still reckoning my fascination to be just a boy’s fantasies, they allowed me to meet my future mentor, a Raven shaman. Talking to him was just incredible. He understood me. He was so wise and everything he said made perfect sense. And, better still: He accepted me as his student, for ¥ 500 an hour, to be paid later, and a favor, should he ever need one. In the meanwhile my payment was symbolic: a crow feather in the 2nd week, a comic book in the 3rd, a grain of orichalcum in the 4th, a good story in the 5th. I only realized later that my first one was more than symbolic: a ring, woven from my hair – in case I should forget to honor our trade. I was in Wiz Wes‘ hands, and there was little I could do about it.
The case was different for Jerry, though.
I fled home as soon as I was able to cast one or two spells. My hope of living with Wesley turned out to be an illusion. He was my teacher, but he was not going to adopt me. So I laboured on construction sites to pay my soyburgers and cokes. Of course I used magic to lift heavy stuff. And of course such a thing can’t go unnoticed forever. A workmate fingered me on my boss, Jerry.
He altered my payment. Halved it, that is. If I quit or caused any trouble, he’d blow the whistle on me. Luckily, I already knew how to change into my totem’s bird, a crow. So I began to steal to earn my living. And swore revenge. I’m not a cliché Dwarf, but there’s one thing that is true to most of us, including me. We’re stubborn. And patient. My revenge came, when Wiz Wes taught me the Crow’s Voice spell, which allowed me to manipulate a person’s thoughts. It would not yet work on people with a strong will. Jerry, however, was prey.
I traced him home, using my Shapechange spell. I dropped the spell, sitting stark naked in a side alley, peering through his window, when I wove the spell. I forced him to transfer all the money he owed me to my account, doubling the sum. And I made him set fire in his living room before I left.
Next day in the morning I made sure he understood I would come again should he do something funny. And we talked about my salary. I might have lied about my capacity of calling spirits to hunt him down even in jail.
I used the money to pay Wiz Wes. After a year or so I quit my job and started to do shadowy magic stuff. Another two years later I quit my apprenticeship and became a full-grown shadowrunner. In the meantime I had a lot of Firsts: my first run, my first spirit, my first preparation, my first sex, my first kill, and so on. Nothing you wouldn’t expect my type to do, and nothing worth wasting your or my time on any longer.
So, this is me: MacC, or just Mac, Dwarven Crow shaman, shadowrunner and a pain in the ass for everyone who thinks they can fuck with me. That is, except they can, really. I know when to peck, but also when to just spread my wings…

Appearance

MacC is as tall as 1.22 (more ore less exactly 4 ft) and rather skinny. But since he’s wearing wide clothes, his exact figure can only be guessed.
The Dwarf’s face is slim, unlike his fleshy nose, and his chin is pointy enough to poke your eye out (assuming your eyes are at 3 ft 6“ height). Normally, MacC’s face is neatly shaven.

Although he’s no older than 22 or 23, there are already small wrinkles around his eyes, and his eyebrows are rather bushy. Although he seems a little grumpy sometimes, taken as a whole he is a very charming person (yep, that’s deliberately ambiguous ^^). His voice is a deep and strong bass, his gace is strong, but not intense in a rude way. He is very self-confident, and every movement, every glance, every word indicates he’s determined.

Today, the Dwarf‘s wearing a black T-shirt displaying a really daft looking cartoon elf with protruding ears, holding a dandelion between his sheepishly grinning teeth. And a fleshy hand, pointing a gun at his head. Over this shirt, he’s wearing a black lined coat with an very broad collar. The coat is a little bit too long for MacC: it stretches over his knees and covers half of his big hands. The wide dark sleeves give the impression of wings when he stretches his arms. Mac’s wearing sneakers and a simple necklace with a metallic pendant displaying a raven’s head.

I hope i didn't take too many liberties with my RP. Just seemed like we had a lot of time to kill till 6pm and i thought i would do something interesting. I Am inviting one of my contacts to Joe's so I can ask her about The Hanger. Seemed more interesting than just calling. Would you mind seeing if she is available or in any better shape than i am XD

Thanks!

is souffle_girl still in thr group or have you heard from her is awhile? She hasn't posted yet on the In Character thread. Do we have a time limit before we move on without her or should we all get a little more creative with how we spend our 7ish hours to stall for time for her to make her first post?

i saw in another one of her posts that she was having some trouble IRL :(

On the one hand she seemed super excited about the game and was one of the people who got it off the ground. On the other hand i want to get the train to plot town moving! If you do decide to kick her you can always change the name of the OOC thread to [OOC] FAMILY Matters (recruiting matrix specialist) or something to that effect!

Beyond that i will keep my ear to the ground and look for people posting looking for group threads!

- I'm the exec chef at a restaurant, so I already work 60 hours a week. The holiday season ramps that up.

- we're open on Thanksgiving, so I'm currently in turkey and stuffing hell.  Today and tomorrow are crazy for me.  Things will settle down by Friday.

Hello everyone, I'm glad to be joining in this game!

I'll get an IC up to try and integrate myself in, but in the meantime, what color scheme do you want me to use? My normal one, or the one that I'm using in the other game, A Kriminal Affair? Either works for me, but just wanted to make sure I didn't confuse anyone.

And to start the OOC rolls, here goes nothing.

Quote from: 8-bit
Starting Money - 25 + (4d6 x 100) (http://orokos.com/roll/234751): 25+(4d6*100) 1425 [4, 4, 1, 5]

I'll boot up the good ol' cyberdeck. Going to have my Agent do a Matrix Search on The Hangar in Tacoma, while Binary gets ready. Looking for General and Limited Knowledge; running on Seattle Emerald City Grid. If working cross-grid I lose two dice.

Quote from: 8-bit
Attack 3, Sleaze 5, Data Processing 6, Firewall 5

Running Programs: Browse, Signal Scrub, Rating 4 Agent

Agent doing a Matrix Search (http://orokos.com/roll/234752): 10d6t5 6 [5, 5, 5, 4, 6, 2, 5, 6, 2, 2]

Limited Knowledge takes 5 minutes to complete.

Also, holy hell! 6 hits on 10 dice? That Agent is worth every nuyen  :)

Welcome! Looking forward to having you in the game!

As for colors i think as long as we are consistent the bossman doesn't care what colors we use. So i just suggest you use the ones in your Sig. I know when i see colors in a PbP that's the first place i look for meaning!

Jeez, you're right :) that's welcome news.
If it's fine by you, I'd summon lvl 4 instead in that case. If not, I'll do with 3 this time and conjure 4 next time.
Anyway, thanks ^^

I'm not quite sure whether additional powers are chosen by the GM or the player. If I'm to choose, I'll pick Bind (or Binding, I forgot). But I guess it won't matter anyway.

You already rolled for force 3 so we'll use that.

Since you just summoned a random water spirit I'd say it's powers are chosen by the GM at random.

Results of the summoning:

-water spirit will appear and owes you 2 services.

-spirits optional power is Weather Control.

-you need to resist 2 points of Stun Drain

A discussion between Volker and 8-bit requires a GM call, so I'll put it here so everyone knows about it for the future.

The discussion is whether a headware cyberdeck is installed in the head.

Here's how ill rule it:

1.  Obviously part of the cyberdeck is installed in the head so that it can access the brain.

2.  But if you read pg 451 of SR5, you can install items with Capacity in cyberlimbs and save essence cost by sacrificing capacity.

3. #2 tells me that a cyberdeck is to big to fit the whole thing in your head.  So a standard in-body cyberdeck has components in the abdomen and in the brain.  This is the standard essence cost in the book.  Non-standard would be moving the 'guts' of the cyberdeck into a cyberlimb where you would then have to sacrifice capacity for a break on essence cost.

Make sense?

Works for me. I never did understand the exact rules for the item, so that makes it much clearer.

If you want a spirit with a particular power, you'll have to phrase that as part of the summoning.

On a less pleasant note, Shrazkil has been MIA for 10 days now.  I sent him a pm.  What do you guys want to do if he's a no show?  Roll with 4 or recruit again?

Oh, really? He usually is pretty active. Assuming he doesn't show, I say go ahead with 4. Normally, I would be fine with recruiting people, but I think it's time to get this show on the road.

If everyone else wants to recruit though, I'll gladly defer.

2.  The hostess wasn't there when you walked in.  Maybe out having a smoke.  But you wanted Mac to go to the bar, which he did before going to the bathroom.  The old ork guy is the bartender.

3.  Let's give Shraskil some time to respond and let's see what the others think about bringing another player in.

This part.

Before I make an IC post, just a quick question.

How are people seated? Is a waiter/waitress there to lead you to a spot, is it all done with AROs? Just wanted to incorporate that into my post.

This place is old school.  There's a hostess stand by the door where someone will seat you.

Ninja'd by RagallachMC.

Edit: Wait, out for a smoke at 16 or 17? I suppose she only looks like that, but if she is, damn. Sixth world is harsh. Not that it doesn't happen today either.

Nope, it's 18 here. And 21 to drink. Which is stupid, but you know ... legal stuff and bureaucracy. Not that I really think it's necessary to be so high, but it is.

i assume that's handled off screen by our lifestyles. Incidentals are included in that cost. You get a free bank account with every lifestyle of low and above. Assuming of course you drink within your means or, for that matter, if the boss man cares that much for minutia. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing, and when I'm handed a bill IC i will mark it off my sheet then

I was mostly asking, not so much about funds, I'll mark those off the sheet appropriately, but about how to handle it IC. I figure I'll pay the tab either at the end of the night, or when we go to sit with the Johnson.

Wow, things are rolling!  I'm not real clear on when/how Dave should play into all this.  I'm also not sure how the other players/NPCs will react to her...is this a place where being a troll is chill or is walking in going to make an immediate scene?

RagallachMC, are you going to drop me a cue IC when Dave walks in, and maybe describe the scene a bit?  Or should I be following along and have Dave show up when ever it seems right?  Not sure how this should go :)

Also, I've been super busy IRL, which is part of the reason I'm playing a simpler character in this game.  That said if I ever drop the ball you are all welcome to PM me mercilessly!

Incidentals are covered as part of your lifestyle.  You have food, drinks, clothing and stuff that is appropriate to that level.  Just stay within your level and you're good. If you go beyond, I'll ask for some nuyen to be deducted from your sheet.

Ragallach

If I understood correctly, 8-bit's question concerned IC. Do we pay when we order, when Mr. J shows up, when we leave, when we're asked to, etc?

Here are my dice rolls:
In rule terms my Stone Skin spell is a Force 4 Armor spell.
Stone Skin spell (http://orokos.com/roll/236843): 16d6t5 2
I don't believe it! This is the third time that orokos spits out a ridiculously bad result. Two scores on 16 dice? Well, whatever.

Drain (DV = 2) (http://orokos.com/roll/236845): 12d6t5 9
You're kidding me, right? I mean, this is just seriously stupid. :D I'm laughing my ass off.

Do you mind if I roll real dice in future, and send you a photo? Just kidding.

In case anyone is watching: The threshold for seeing him cast the Stone Skin spell is 4 on an INT + Perception test.

The bartender has not asked you to pay yet, so it's up to you if you want to pay before he asks for it.

I’m note quite sure either. Apparently, the perception is partly visual, but it seems not entirely.

Sometimes it’s obvious through a magician’s gestures or incantations. Spirits sometimes cause the air to shimmer, even from astral space. People have reported feeling chills, dread, or other unnatural sensation they can’t quite put their finger on when magic is in the area.
Personally, I would say that you benefit from a part of the bonus (i.e. half of the additional dice) but I guess this is a GM’s call.

That's an interesting point.  Well, if casting a spell has a visual component, and it's my understanding that most of them do, then someone like Binary would get all their dice to notice the visual parts of the spell.  To cut down on dice rolling, you could use the same roll with bonuses removed to see if you notice anything else about the spell (sounds, feelings, whatever).  Using Binary's roll above, he would notice the visual parts of the spell but miss anything else.

And yes, I did miss Mac waving down the hostess.  I'll use it was a long day as my excuse :)

Dave

Dave is, to most people, a troll, or should I say TROLL.

At closer glance, she's a tad shorter then most female trolls, and at the same time she is jacked!  Like wow, way more burly then most trolls you might meet on the street.  Real muscle too, so not like those Urban Brawl trolls.  She's the genuine unaugmented thing...at least as far as you can tell.  Her skin is a deep dark gray flecked with lighter and darker spots that give it a granite like appearance, and the rough texture matches,  Her horns are all natural, curling from the sides of her head with unpolished points coming down just above her shoulders.

Moving on to general looks she's really got nothin going here, of course ugly by human standards but even pretty ugly by troll standards to the point where other trolls even mistake her for a dude some times, though her name also isn't doin her any favors here.  She has a nice smile though, with teeth that sparkle slightly like they are flecked with quartz or something.

edit: Oh, and she's wearing a large hoody and some well worn cargo pants.  The hoody is greenish with some large stains and was clearly made for a overweight human, the cuffs have been cut off and the sleeves only reach to Dave's elbows, well the waist ends about a foot above her waist.

Gotta go, Raven

GM question:

The seat facing the door was occupied...but then later Johnson sat down.  He was just standing near it before or something right?  There's not a second person in the room?

Is the table round or rectangular?  If it's rectangular I imagine Mr Johnson is at the head and the long length of the table is between him and the door...if it's round then he's just on the far side.

I know this is a really minor thing, but it helps me visualize it...which helps me imagine what Dave would do ;)

I realized that was unclear after I posted.  Should have edited it.  The Johnson was sitting, but stood when you arrived and then sat back down.

It is a round table.  He's in the chair furthest from the door.

With you luck! Hope it was not too bad news! Take your time, anyway.

Assuming that you're the lead negotiator feel free to do so. Since I don't know any of you guys, I thought with 11 dice I might be the one for the job, but if Mac senses that someone knows what he does, he will jump on the train and support him or her.

Volker, may I use your 3 hits as an aid to my negotiations? Or does the boasman want us all rolling for ourselves?

You guys can work together and assist each other's rolls.

Thanks Volker, but I didn't come here to vent. I came here to roll 30+ dice on a negotiation check!

We will see how set that price is when I'm done with him!

Sorry, been traveling a bit but should be able to post more regularly now, will probably miss a day here and there but Dave is an easy go-with-the-flow kind of character so she just tags along if I'm not posting.

Also, Dave's bow is still in the Barrens, oops!  What's the best way to go get it?  Wanted to get ideas out of character since I'm still getting a feel for the setting.

Volker: haha, yeah Dave can be kind of annoying when it comes to race stuff :)  This is just how Dave is, and not necessarily a reflection of reality, just to be clear.

BTW i wanted to roll an intimidate but for some reason Invisible castle is down. If you want to roll it that's fine, or i can try back again later and see if its up. I roll 8 dice plus/minus mods and whatever Dave gives me by aiding or by simply just being there

"Maybe we should make this conversation a bit more private first though"

Sterling blinks a few times before an ARO pops in front of all of your visions

Mac (who obviously has no datajack and doesn't wear any trodes) seems a little puzzled. "Yeah, sure. I think if we just walk in the corner over there I guess we won't be overheard."

He briskly walks over to the indicated place, looking back for the rest of the team to follow.

Says on your sheet you have a pair of trodes :P

More importantly though you dont have an image link so can see my AROs anyway. Savages, savages i say!
Title: Re: [OOC]FAMILY Matters

He does have trodes, but that doesn't mean he's wearing them all the time. He's not computerophibic, but the idea of something constantly sending waves through his place is freaking him out. So no: He's not wearing probes, doesn't have an image link or any other means to see your trodes. He's all natural.

Some tests to perform.

Quote from: 8-bit
Current Grid: Seattle Emerald City

Attribute Array: Attack 3, Sleaze 5, Data Processing 6 (7), Firewall 5 (6)

Programs currently running: Rating 4 Agent, Browse, Virtual Machine (Toolbox, Firewall)

Performing a quick Matrix Search for General Information myself. Threshold 1; I applied the -2 penalty to Obscure information. If I'm working cross-grid, apply a -2 penalty.

Performing General Information Matrix Search (Computer 5 + Intuition 5 - Obscure 2) (http://orokos.com/roll/241449): 8d6t5 2 [1, 6, 5, 4, 3, 3, 3, 3]

Search takes 15 seconds, comes up with any General Information I could get while searching. I'm assuming I'm using keywords like "drugs", "Tacoma", "cheap drugs" etc. Whatever would be relevant to the situation.

Getting Agent to perform a Matrix Search for Limited Interest information. Threshold 3; I applied the -2 penalty to Obscure information. If I'm working cross-grid, apply a -2 penalty.

Agent Performing Limited Interest Matrix Search Test (http://orokos.com/roll/241448): 8d6t5 0 [1, 4, 2, 2, 2, 4, 2, 1]

Well that didn't do anything. It takes it 15 minutes to run this test, with no information showing up.

Adding in the time it would take to adjust all of this; it would require 6 Combat Turns, which equates to 30 seconds. Meaning that the first one ends up taking 45 seconds, while the second one takes 15 minutes, 30 seconds.

Trying to contact my coyote contact Domino Walker (2 connection, 5 loyalty)

I never gave you any back story on him so here i go:

He and Sterling were friends back in the Sioux nation and both left together at the same time. He was always a wiz driver and had a sixth sense for trouble. When they got to Seattle they attempted to hit the shadows together, but Domino was never good in a fight. Always wanted to cut and run. Emphasis on the run. He took up street racing but his heart was never in it. After winning his first race he was approached by a man with a proposition. A man of Domino's skills and ethnicity could make a lot of dough running items discreetly across the boarder into Salish-Shidhe lands. Best part was, he could even pick and choose his cargo.

Domino has spent the last few years running medical supplies, luxury goods, and consumer electronics into Council lands. Sterling told him he could be making bigger money running drugs and weapons, but Domino always insisted you couldn't put a price on a good nights sleep and the ability to look at yourself in the mirror

Hey folks, I'm back in, but might be in and out a bit, sorry!  If it's easier to drop Dave I totally understand, but if it's cool for me to pop in and out a bit that would be sweet!

When I'm behind posting I don't mind the GM making logical guesses about Dave's actions...like of course I can do the "I'm a troll, don't f**k with his car" thing :)

But yeah, I would strongly prefer that no one tries to play Dave as their character, that would feel weird.  Some one could sub in a different troll if the group wants that of course, I just don't like other folks messing around with my character like it's theirs, hope that's cool, and certainly no hard feelings regarding past comments!

Bow: Dave uses a rating 9 bow, it's availability 0 and Y900, if we can easily pick one up in the area that would be WAY better then a quick run to Redmond :)

Cheers, Raven

What do you think of the following idea: If someone (like Binary) doesn't have to say anything, but the player's still keeping track, could they just post something like "Binary is listening, but says nothing" or "Binary frowns, but remains silent" or so? This way, you don't have to act, but we know we can go on. What do you think of that?

I'll give my best ;-)

Dear GM:
I assumed here that I can take the beer with me. If that's not possible I would ask for a plastic bag to refill the beer or something. I also assumed that the others follow in order to speed things up.

Here are some dice rolls:
Physical Barrier Force 3 (http://orokos.com/roll/245823): 16d6t5 5

Resist Drain DV=2 (http://orokos.com/roll/245824): 12d6t5 4
no drain

The description says, I can form a Physical Barrier with a radius and height equal to the spell's Force. I assumed that I can also create a smaller barrier, but not a bigger one.

I then summon a Force 5 Spirit of Man with Fear as Additional Power.
Summon Spirit (http://orokos.com/roll/245826): 11d6t5 7
BOOYAH!

I can only use 5 of them, but still BOOYAH!

I have to wait for your Opposed Roll for the Drain Test though.

@Ragallach: Since "tomorrow" was three days ago and life has apparently shown you its mean side, I hope it is okay if we proceed with a little roleplaying in the meanwhile.

I don't know if that's okay under these special circumstances, but I would like to roll the spirit's Opposed test to continue the show. If you like, you can of course roll your own roll once you're back and we will substitute it. I just hope you don't roll 5 hits on 5 dies so that the result would be a different one.

Spirit's Opposed roll (http://orokos.com/roll/249187): 5d6 18
Oh, I forgot to type the target value. It was 2 scores, meaning three services.

If you decide not to count and score more hits, I might change the first task of the spirit.
Thanks for your understanding!

I'm back.

I had a personal matter that I ended up having to travel out of town for and then it was just a mess getting caught up on everything when I got home.

But I'm back now.  Promise.

Heading to IC now to get caught up.

EDIT:

Alright, looks like you guys are moving along.

If everyone's ready, I'll move it along to the Weapons World...

I really estimate you highly as players or GM, respectively, but may I ask you (8-bit and esp. RagallachMC): If you post things like
But I'm back now.  Promise.
Heading to IC now to get caught up.
or
Been cramming a bunch of knowledge into my head all night and am pretty much unable to think. I'll get the IC up tomorrow.
you also actually do post? Or even better: instead post IC before you declare your willingness to post when you go offline for days again?

I really don't wanna complain, but I already quit Kriminal and I'm thinking about quitting this, too. When we created the group, we agreed upon at least 1 post in 2 days. I'm fine if anyone has problems, stress or anything. Then please say so, and it's all right. But I feel like the donkey and the carrot if you keep promising posts that never come.

yeah i enjoy Sterling and i want to see where this is going, but volker and I cant do this alone.

It's not like 8 bit isn't super active. If you aren't feeling it anymore you can tell us. We are big boys. I know we kind of shanghaied you into your role anyway

As for quitting, its not like i have anything better to do so I'll stick with it even if it goes to one post a week, just be honest with your posting schedules :(
