Troll who was Born in a High-ranking Yakuza Family as a human boy, but suffered a lot after turning into a troll. Scared and pached up with cyber he has fought his way to the respect of the Oyabun and his fellow Yakuza man, but still does not feel welcome in their midst. Decided to turn to the shadows to increase his influence in the region, to change the Yakuza from outside and inside at the same time.

Akuma had just finished an execution for the Yaks. It did go smooth, but still he nevr liked these kind of jobs.
still a bit irritated but feeling much better after reading his, what might be, ticket out of the organisation monopoly over him, decided to call up a yak from the region as he always does before a job " yo, Yama, got a job in your region, "The Rusty Bucket Bar", anything notable?"
He hid his sword in one of the false exhaust pipes and started to travel on his chopper to the place, at least the grid guide knows the place.
and in his head he counted minutes it took to receive a answer to his voice mail, he kept a record on these kind of things
me, for one s waiting a Yakuza group contact to give me the rundown on the bar
Connection 8 Loyalty 4 contact not answering is a unusual if not down right impossible n these settings.
on the answer depends whether i take a weapon inside the bar or not, whether i say i am from the yaks or not. so for my RP t is important to get it.
then i hope this compilation will help.

my last action to spy on the barkeeper was, since i saw the surprise on his face, when he saw that picture, is to be prepared or react in time
- if he tries to run away to escape a maybe unkind questioning, in case he knows something
- if he gestures the other orc(+probably bouncers) to "take care" of us
- or even both at once

the spell allows to move the "visual point". so if i am somehow in a bad angle, i can change it or get closer to see stuff, they don't want other people to see ;-) the spellcasting test serves as a magical perception test. that's why i didn't roll extra perception...

as i said in the IC - I am waiting for an answer from the Contact, meaning that i will not post any IC in the meanwhile.
If the contact does not respond you can say so, but that for a Loy 4 Connection 8 not responding would seem improbable.

since you are asking... ;-)
if i may say, i like it so far, but i have some suggestions:

be a little more responsive to individual actions. we are not always at the same place and your storytelling so far was very general. sure we are a group, but we are also five individuals. if something is only addressed to a few characters, designate it in a first line:

ie. in the first post something like this

still outside, its getting cold,... traffic, pedestrians...inside you see...

5min on the way to the bar a yak colleague called you back to give you following information....
you are angry it took so long and are thinking about teaching him a lesson next time you see him...
@all:
nothing can be found on the target, the bar is at... district/street...
you could access online menu to preorder stuff already...
owner is called zed, else nothing special about it

sure this might lead sometimes to similar or repetitive description, but our actions also changes stuff, so we need updates.

when i write a nice fluffy text, its to describe what other people could see, hear, or what my character thinks. the intentions of what i exactly want, is not always in it. that's why i write in every post extra ooc in spoiler tags, to clarify my intentions, so its for you easier to react to it.

if someone is looking for something in particular. ie. when ellie overheard the killing thing, she wanted to run away or hide somewhere. that's why i asked for a map of the bar and how many bouncers are at the exit. to see what chances i would have to just run out there quickly. so far it could be anything from 2 to 10+ ;) the more details you give, the easier it is for us to make (correct/logical) decisions that fit into the story. maps are important for that, even if it only is a quick sketch in paint ;)

also you as the GM have of course the power to interrupt any of our descriptions at any point. sometimes we describe longer, continuous actions. if they dont fit into your story, because something for us unexpected happens in between, just react to a specific point and advise us(in an ooc text) to delete the last part of our message to readjust for it.

i hope you are not killing me for that, just thought it might help.
also read some of the other IC threads to get an idea about pbp.

Guys this is my first PbP, and if at anytime I violate etiquette or you have suggestions regarding post formatting or content, I am open to advise.

Also I have been away from SR for several versions so if I misinterpret rules please don't hesitate to let me know.  I tried to choose a character type that would be pretty straight forward in order to slowly acclimate myself to the system but assistance is always welcome.

Maps are amazing especially if you can't describe what you want. What lethe suggested with individual responses and as much detail as possible. Think it like you are writing a novel is my suggestion. How I approached things in openepg games and people love that kind of stuff. Just my 2 cents.

The Bouncers look at the two drones. They slowly put there guns up to the drones and fire off a round of burst fire into each drone, in an almost mechanical way. As they do so, Zed and the other Orc come out of the back guns ready. Roll Initiative.

yep this would be nice, as well - who are the trolls and where are they on the map? where is Akuma on the map?
I thought the whole point on the map was to Show us who is where so we could see what are the priorities and how to stay alive.

Yes, you can act already, effect will be seen later. Adds to realism too, since we all act in the same second anyway and being able to react to something that happens almost simultaneously would probably require an 'observe in detail' test ;-)

This is just so we avoid killing the leader of some gang and a potential source of information.  ;)

Hey, Wretch, dont want to step on your toes or anything, but you can add more dice in one roll and making it count the roll for you by writting the roll in a different format.
11d6.hits(5)=4 (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3363252/)
11(Number of dice to roll)d6(number of dice sides - 6 sided dice).Hits(5)(Count the dice with five and more - 5;6)

this helps a lot in games, and if you need roll rulle of six - 11d6.hitsopen(5,6)=6 (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3363284/)

Hope this helps understand Invisible castle a bit better.
