OK, so I have the first session of this campaign (http://forums.shadowrun4.com/index.php?topic=9366.0) tomorrow and I need to work out what the PCs' standard loadout is, as provided by their Aegis Cognito TechOps staffer.
I'm thinking the following but would appreciate some input:
Armour

- (Body 4 character) - Camouflage Suit or Armour Jacket, SecureTech Forearm Guards & Shin Guards (8/8 Armour)

- Earbuds, Rating 3: Audio Enhancement 1, Skinlink, Select Sound Filter 1, Spatial Recogniser
- Subvocal Microphone
- Trauma Patch
Gear (shared between whole team)
- Area Jammer (Rating 6)

There will be some missions requiring On-Site Procurement (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OnSiteProcurement) but I'm thinking that the above is a good baseline for a solid, competent team to expect to be issued with. What do you reckon?

I would add GPS and flashlights. And micro-transceiver 5. Why only audio enhancement 1?

Full-Body Form Fit should be standard for everyone. Tweak what you have to to make the totals come out properly. It's just that darn good.

Good call on all that. Only Audio Enhancement 1 because of Capacity issues - max Rating of 3 on Earbuds, audio upgrades cost 1 Capacity per rating (different to visual).

Hmm, you're probably right. I shall do some fiddling about with points!

Also, even for Bod 1 chars, you can take Form-Fit bod armor at a lower level.
Also, there is a houserule where custom-fitted armor can be up to 3X bod instead of 2X.

Pretty sure that's been fixed. The newest versions of the PDF read:
There are three common types of audio devices and sensors. The rating of such devices equals the number of audio enhancements they can be fitted with.
I believe the old document that was supposed to bump SR4 to SR4A also used number of enhancements rather than 1 capacity per rating, but I can't remember what it was called.

Oooh, good spot. Hero Lab disagrees, so I shall submit a bug report.

Thank you Wells. I was pretty sure I was right with that but couldn't find why.
-
My copy says different. Sure the audio device section says rating equals number of mods but the actual mods section says the mods take 1 capacity per rating. As far as I can tell it's the latest printing.

Hmm. On second look, my PDF still says "Each enhancement costs 1 Capacity (per rating)." on page 333, and I make a point of downloading the updates when they appear. However, I can't seem to tell which version of the PDF I have - anyone able to tell me how to do so?
