Question from the technology standpoint:
Today those masks limit your vision to an extent, but in 2070 would it be possible to have a mask without eye holes (solid slab of steel/kevlar/ceramic in front of your face) and still have perfect vision through built in cameras?
Yes. And if Astral Perception is required, you could theoretically opt out of the cameras for magesight, instead.
Perhaps without the myomer control cables (to save space), but it already fits in goggles, so that may not be necessary.
[Edit: Failing that, you could reasonably accomplish the same thing with a set of prisms, for "tanker vision".]
