A mother spirit is exactly what a mantis would have. Not 100% sure I would use a queen's stats but they do at least have the ability to summon others of their kind. The.difference is expanding the hive is all that matters to queens, where as mothers aren't like that. In burning bright the mantis spirit who is going to summon a mate into the boy's body refuses to do it because it would kill the boy and she has grown to care for him.
