So I had originally made a Melee Mage (Actually worked better then you would expect) but after a few missions I began to realize as more and more of my group bought and used more often grenades, that all my lovely build points in Blade and such were never gonna do me any good and thus I got screwed by character conflicts and have decided to make something more....group friendly for my team. My GM has fun with how I always seem to go outside the norm of what most players view as a good or decent build and end up making them work in rather interesting ways..so onto my build and thoughts.

Alright now that all that has been thrown up there and labeled out, I enjoy playing rather realistic characters (I am not a min/maxer So I soft max and soft min at character creation). I know he doesn't have a lot of skills, I don't really plan for him to be a veteran shadowrunner. Consider him a magician who has been hired out by the highest bidder for a while, getting tired of being shuffled back and forth from the Triads, Yakuzas, and Corporations....so he gives up his easy life of being a mage/summoner at the various businesses and sets out for something more interesting and adrenalin pumping by putting himself out on the front line with everyone else.
My plans are to have him get Dragonspeech as soon as he has enough Karma (Initiate and learn Telepathy basically), learn more in pistols, first aid, infiltration, and perception, maybe one day increase magic to 6, and maybe even learn masking so he doesn't get sought after for being a drake (but that kinda goes against Thrill seeking...so who knows). Alright, I've braced myself for the wall of abuse coming my way, lets here some constructive critisizm please ^^.
I suppose it would be good to tell what i will do if I get to the free 2nd point in magic (Due to Drake/Magician combo). Make Pistols 2 instead of one, add Specialization Revolvers, and Make Binding 2 instead of one.

You have way too much skills at 1.
You're supposed to blast with spells, so you can ditch the pistols skills and use defaulting (you're not going to hit anything).
You need unarmed combat and exotic ranged weapons to be efficient with your draconic attacks (breath and claws).
With fireball as your only damaging spell, you won't be able to last a long time before drain cripples you ; you should look at stunbolt (at last) which is very efficient against living targets and spirits. You don't have enough spell, invest in improved reflexes and also in utility spells (mindprobe, detect ennemies, [element] wall, control thoughts, influence, levitate, physical mask, improved invisibility... are good examples) to boraden your tactical possibilities.
Try to raise your spellcasting to 6, buy a power focus 4 (with restricted gear quality) and a healing sustaining focus 3 (to sustain improved reflexes, else you won't be on par with your chromed buddies, and act once when they act two or three times).
Being a Drake is really expensive for a little benefcies., and you don't get a lot of benefits from it as you're a mage, and not supposed to go close range. Perhaps as a drake mage i'll go touch range mage, with spells like [element] aura and creating touch range attack spell, so you'll do claws+attack spell+aura damage with your attacks.

I think the basic problem this guy has is you paid 65 points to be a drake and have no real way to effectively use the ability to turn into a dragon. It's actively dangerous, in fact, since you aren't armored and you are helpless on the astral too.

I'm not really sure what you plan to do with that high agility and otherwise lousy combat ability. Also, 3 spells. I think you really need to figure out what you want to do and invest the points to be able to do it.
