My favorite drug cocktail? Novacoke and K-10 in a slap patch. Put it on a mark (Humanis goon) as he was passing by a group of ork and troll gangers, and gave him a shove in their direction. I've also gotten good use out of a combo of Red Mescaline and Trance in a slap patch. Look, all I'm saying is that by the time the drugs wore off, the mark was extremely pliable for her new owners. And I didn't have to worry about her trying to kill me for at least a few months.

Oh, you were talking about something else, weren't you?

Sometimes the best way to remove a problem is to turn it over to someone else. Like getting the humanis goon to take on a gang of orks on his own, or drugging the lady who tried to kill you and selling her to the local bunraku parlor. Point being, don't just think about how drugs can be useful for you, or how you can use them to leverage an addict. There are plenty of other uses out there with a little imagination.

Been contemplating a vampire black magic assassin who uses Renfield darts to similar purposes... either a slow death by irreversible essence loos, or possibly taken out of the scene as a pawn.

Not made it, mainly because no idea if I'd ever find a game dark enough for the character.

Yeah, that was the one that got me. In context now, it make sense; I was thinking the killing was going to happen due to what you did, not that she had already tried it.  :-[
Let's just say that the character in question goes to great lengths to make sure people know that double-crossing him is a bad idea. The same character also has a collection of 'ice sculptures' in his garden that 'coincidentally' look like some of the more attractive people who've tried to kill him, and all have a magical aura to them. One has even been made into a fountain. Murder investigations go much quicker when there is no body to find.
Greataxe - Apply directly to source of problem, repeat as needed.

I notice that you are mentioning different substances for characters with and without initiative boosters.  Do drugs not stack with those like they do with other stuff?

I don't think there is an initiative dice booster in the game that is combinable with another initiative dice booster.

I don't think Reaction Enhancers worth with drugs that boost Reaction either.

Drugs are a less "full on" way to get initiative boosts into a character who is not magic (or doesn't want to use magic for initiative  and can't afford a lot of 'ware (or has other 'ware in mind).

@FST_Gemstar

You are objectively wrong on that account:

Accelerator from Lockdown explicitly states that it is most often used in conjunction with other ini enhancers.

Also, drugs are never mentioned in the lists of incompatibility. Until Chromeflesh and Blood of Kali it was even possible that drugs could stack with everything and also go beyond the augmentation limit.

I stand corrected. I have never read Lockdown.

I guess it goes to the aug/enhancer definition.

Boosted Reflexes and Wired Reflexes do seem to allow to be used with enhancements.

I just never played that drugs can boost past aug limits as to me those limits seemed to cap the limits of a body/mind can be pushed in its own flesh. I'm glad it's official now.

I guess I have been too conservative in my drug use. I should start making more drug/wared characters.

See, and I had thought that drugs did stack with everything, including initiative dice, but doesn't the fact that Accelerator explicitly state that it stacks with reflex boosting augmentations kind of imply that other initiative-boosting drugs do not?

No, for that it would have language to the effect of: "This is the only drug that does that" and not "this is a drug that is especially favored from its users to do that"
