This is a rebuild of an stealthy, close combat adept I posted a while ago. Instead of going with a pure magic user, I added some augmentations. Any good?

Looking at skills, getting the athletics group at 3 would save you a few points and would improve the other three skills at the cost of a 1-point hit to gymnastics.

If you are going to lose a point of magic, you should get the most return on it.  I would recommend synthcardium: 3 and a reflex recorder for your monowhip (freeing up 0.5 power points) or pistols.  Unless you are saving those 0.4 Essence points to upgrade to muscle toner: 4 later on, of course.

Magic should read 5(4) like the other augmented attributes, just to avoid confusion while totaling points.

As far as build suggestions go, I'd shift 1 log to int.  Intuition helps you more with bonuses to shadowing, perception, disguise, artisan and the all-important initiative.

Huh. That made quite a difference. Anyway, I went with the reflex recorder for pistols. Monowhip would be much lower if I used the recorder to boost it. I boosted Intuition, too. Should I find a way to boost Hardware, then, or is that just supposed to be a lower priority?

Hardware is generally used for extended tests, so it's not that big a deal unless the lock has an alarm.

Also, a First Aid skill of 1 isn't really enough to be worth it.  Besides, with a medkit, you don't have to worry about defaulting since it "takes the place of your skill," so it's a lower priority skill than most.  If you find yourself missing it during play, 6 karma will net you 1 skill and a specialization for 3 more dice.

That 4 bp is more than enough to afford things like the PuSHeD gene treatment for +1 to all logic linked skills. Not a bad deal for .1 essence and 3 bp in cash.
