Otherwise the co-pilot would be able to check on his crew remotely, you can surmise that at least the 2 of the captain and co-captain owned the aircraft themselves, with the lack of certain safety protocols.

You'd have to recover that information from the aircraft logs, though it's safe to assume it's either greenland or one of the arctic islands. the FDR and CVR don't contain information regarding that.

I think the term actually would apply to a boat, but I was referring to the room that makes up the bottom portion of the nose, under the cockpit, the cockpit is on the second level of the plane.
