Hello there. I have a question about some pretty basic combat rules. In core rulebook stands that "Weapons that fire more than one round in an Action Phase suffer from an escalating recoil modifier as the rounds leave the weapon". Does that mean recoil modifier is applied only for the second shot in that particular IP? Or does it stack through whole combat turn? I thought first option was right, but then I realised there would be a problem with full auto weapons. When you shoot full burst, you recieve -9 recoil modifier. But it is a complex action, thus you are unable to shoot more full bursts in one IP. And if recoil modifier would be applied only in that particular IP, you would actually never suffered that -9. On the other hand if those negative modifiers would be stacking through the whole combat turn, it would be almost unable to hit at the end of the turn. Please help me out. Thanx

To quote your quote (emphasis mine):
Quote
Weapons that fire more than one round in an Action Phase suffer from an escalating recoil modifier as the rounds leave the weapon

The mentioned Action Phase is an IP and you do not count how often you pull the trigger (once for full auto), but how many rounds you shoot.

So full auto has -9 recoil modifier, because you shoot 10 rounds in that IP with that complex action.

It sound so logical, when you put it like that. Thanks a lot!

You get extra recoil on the second shot of the initiative pass, but the recoil penalty starts over on the next initiative pass. If you have two initiative passes and you are using a pistol in semi automatic mode, the first shot has no recoil, and the second shot -1 recoil penalty. On the second initiative pass, your first shot has no recoil, and the second shot -1 recoil penalty. Hope that helps :)
