Mystic Adepts are....tricky to build. You have to make sacrifices in creating them. That is the worst and best thing about them
Worst, because having to decide where you are going to sacrifice sucks. Best because where you sacrifice makes for a more
interesting story for the character. My group used pregens for our current game, all built by me. One of them chose the Mystic
Adept I built. I built the character with a heavy focus on his Adept side, with minor spell casting(Flame Thrower and Improved
Invisibility), and some points in summoning. The Adept powers, while including some basics(Improved Reflexes, killing hands, elemental
strike-electrical), also included some more flavourful powers(Wall Running) (I used Warrior's Way bonuses for a Mystic's Way Adept,
and hard-capped his magic, with 2 points into the Magician side). I am not ashamed to admit that I actually used the Naruto series
as a solid way to concept a Mystic Adept, as the characters in it are, for the most part, Mystic Adepts.

As if I would have room to talk, anyway. Fist of the North Star figures a fair bit into how I view adepts. Avatar: The Last Airbender, too.

My biggest issue here seems to be getting more initiative passes. Increase Reflexes 2 requires me to put at least 3 points into adept. And I definitely need 2 or 3 points in mage. Feels like I'm stuck either putting more emphasis on mage and going with the Increase Reflexes spell, or an even split.

Well, if you go ahead and use the points to have max Magic out, then an even 3/3 split would enable you to get 3 Initiative Passes without over-casting with the Increase Reflexes spell(if going by the actual rulebook and not the contradictory information).

Increased Reflexes 1 could easily be sufficient.

Ok, I've made some changes to the build. The weapon focus can be boosted to force 4 in a pinch. Alternately, I might be able to get a Hardware build. I'm trying a CHA based build, too (with an elf instead of a human).

You can (but should not) get a rating 2 power focus without restricted gear, and can (and should) get a rating 4 one with restricted gear.

Having 2 agility instead of 1 with MoM does almost nothing. There are like 2 things ever that check your real Agility. That is not worth 10 points.

Exotic Weapon may not be specialized.

Some skills are not printing, but you have print skills with 0 set? I'm not sure what's up with that. Do you know Hardware or Summoning? I don't know why Chummer output is like that.

Dragon is really not a good mentor spirit for you. I'd try to get more useful spells, and switch to, say, Adversary.

The Exotic Weapon thing is another quirk of Chummer. The specialization tab only allows you to note what kind it is.

Anyway, I moved some points around. Couldn't get Summoning, though.

You really should have at least Summoning 1. Spirits are very useful. I suggest dropping 4 of your specializations, and reshuffling the points between Summoning, Pistols, Hardware, and Perception to get all of them at either 4 or 1 if possible.

Having 2 agility instead of 1 with MoM does almost nothing. There are like 2 things ever that check your real Agility. That is not worth 10 points.

1 Agility...can only be Augmented, even through magic, by 1, while 2 agility can also be augmented, even with magic, by only 1.
To my knowledge, Mind over Matter does not let you exceed your Augmented Maximum cap, so that you still need to have your
Agility where 1.5 times your base agility=the value from Mind over Matter. Also, I am not sure, but anything that boosts agility
does not stack with Mind over Matter.

No, the augmented max for stats is 1.5 the unaugmented maximum, not 1.5 times the unaugmented score.

MoM is not augmentation either, it is a stat replacement for tests. Anything that boosts agility (like Muscle Toner, for example), doesn't stack with MoM, but this character doesn't have any. You either go with MoM or you don't, but you should never go halfway.

If I drop the Combat specialization for Counterspelling or Tumbling for Gymnastics, I could manage at least 1. Anything else? Sheesh, mysads are tricky. Wonder if a normal mage would have been like this?

However, you can only augment things to 1.5 times their current value. If you use any adept powers that would raise your Agility 2
character by more then 1 point, you have wasted those powers. If you have Wired Reflexes 2 on a 4 Reaction character, getting
ware that boosts your reaction ends up pointless to take.

No, this is not correct. You are getting the augmented maximum for stats confused with the augmented maximum for skills.
