After a few hours of looking around,  Cookie had decided to take a break in the cafe with a sandwich and coffee, mainly to focus his attention on planning out worse case scenarios, mainly if things went bad enough, that when whoever was on call for the museum security's backup turned up, he'd know what windows they'd be kicking in and where the best cover would would be.
When he was done, he headed down in the lift  through to the foyer pulling his jacket back on as he headed to the exit, he wasn't planning on heading home just yet, he needed a look at the building exteriors left side and gotten some pictures of it, then he could go home and go through his messages and get more time to think....
@all: Getting some nice pictures of the building exterior as you leave on the left hand side, if one of you wants to cover the right and another  cover the rear on the way out that would be appreciated.

OOC: taking a guess at what rolls are suitable, mostly just shooting at the dark here with a magic missile

There are two vacancies listed. One for a new tour guide is marked as fulfilled, but one for a Porter is still open, they would help with deliveries, storeroom movements and moving and rearranging displays. Applicants must have proof of experience in a stockroom environment. There is a commcode to send a written appliation and resume/CV to.

The left hand side of the building has no ways in at all, every window either being the 5th floor cafe's or overlooking the sculpture garden. The ground floor is scarce for cover, being mostly open, the Statue of love providing some cover that isnt just a door way. The higher floors have little in the way of line of site between most rooms so cover is good between rooms, but firing angles are poor and corridors are kill zones.

"I'll check right," Kitten said as she walked out as well.  She also sent through the vacancy for the porter.
"Anybody who can apply," she said, "could be useful to have someone who could open doors from the inside.  I've done logistics with the Marauders, but I'll need a better fake SIN for this to work."

@all:Done similar work myself working in a busy kitchen restaurant, although I do wonder if we need to acquire ID, can't our colleague do something? I'm not well versed in this area I'd admit, but I'm sure none of us want to throw Nuyen at this unless we have to.

Silk forwarded pictures of the vents, taken with her cybereyes, to the rest of the team. "Any idea what this is about? They seem a bit out of place."
She decided to see if any of the guards would be sensitive to her femenine wiles and walked around the rooms looking for the ones that seemed most interested and easiest to fool.
She had a whole character worked out in her head: Aswan'd be some kind of archeologist-groupie, inspired by the latest Return to the Tomb of the Emperor trid. Men who knew stuff about these kind of old things would have to be mysterious and adventurous types, like those archeologists and explorers you see in the trids and games! Much better and more interesting than all the sport or business guys who were just after her to get in her pants. She'd draw the guy in asking simple questions that could easily be answered by just reading past the first 5 words of the the AR info on each piece, then be impressed how smart and knowledgeable he is, 'must be from working with these things all the time, just like an archeologist would!' And there's adventure too, right?! Guarding things as valuable as real treasure, and weren't they afraid one of those mummies or skeletons would, like, wake up or something. Or maybe cast some kind of ancient curse?

Just laying the groundwork for now, seeing if anyone bites and trying to assess how easy they'd be to get useful info -or even things done- from without arousing suspicion.
For the vents, someone with hardware skill roll some dice!

@all: >>Checking storerooms physically is quite a stretch. Doors opened by keypad-controlled maglocks. Not SOTA but enough, not the time to pull a sequencer and plug it in. I can still try to wait for when someone comes out to sneak in. Quite risky and I think I can pull it on two levels maximum, no time for more. Not on the second, guards there might be a bit suspicious. So, a do or a don’t, by your opinion?<<

Gibbon also looked at the pictures Silk sent the team’s way. Standard ventilation shafts? Or some kind of maintenance tunnels? Might be additional security access, like drones.

The next morning after the meet and the following Discussion in the bar Andromeda texted Kouryuu >It looks like i will have to Get a new set of wheels for a while, thinking on going cherry-picking on the highway the way i got the jackrabbit two years ago, but this time it will be much more difficult as the target has to be a Nordcap. Maybe you could call up some of your mates who have been doing this kind of things, i am really not interested in the cargo but the machine itself, so we might strike a deal. also I will need some Morphing plates and a spoof chip, i know you get a car that has to vanish from time to time, if you haven't got some i can understand, but still i would need to get them as well as some progs for hacking as i bet this will not be easy, if the truck has a rigger in it. and maybe i shiwasa bug would be needed as well .... Anyway, you know me, i will definitively have forgotten something but i have a lot to do, be so kind and ask around and i will bring you cake and some wine the next time i come visiting you, by the way it could be very soon.<

the text was her thought recorded by her internal comlink, she made some edits but left most just like it was, the old man would understand.

next was Legion >Yo, i know you are on the museum job, if you need some help i could join. Also i have though about the whole car stealing thing, we need to do it as soon as possible so they search for it, drop it and then we use it, or more precise so i can get some work done on it. As soon as i get a spoof chip and some morphing plates we are good to go.<

@all >I usually use my UWB sensors for this kind of thing just like on the J's house. Does anyone have something like that?< Andromeda asked the group in response in Gibbons question.

By the time Cookie had gotten back to his shoe box of an apartment, he'd already finished going through his messages on the way back, Piemaker had replied back with that they were working on the list he had sent them but that it would take a few days but just within the time frame needed, this gave him breathing room to go over the floor plans of the building in detail and look for good ambush spots.
@all: Sorted out gear, going to take a few days and my supplier is cutting it very close to the line, best I could do I'm afraid, also regardless of those vents being or not being for drone access could we use them to instead to gas the building?assuming that we can get control of the matrix security. Plenty of chemicals/drugs on the market that can knock someone out, I understand if people have objections, but it maybe better than having to clear the building floor by floor, still leaves the problem of dealing with the wage mage and his pets, I'm still working on that and so is Kitten as far as I know. In the meantime I'm going to add camera locations to those floor plans and mark off the ones that will need interfering with, I'll forward those when I'm done.

Silk's flirtation eventually nets an Orcish guard named Evangeline, she's currently a stationary guard on the ground floor but has offered to take her break with you to look round the museum if you would like.

"Doesn't ring a bell," Kitten said to Silk about her holes in the ceiling, "I guess it's something for the techies in the team."

She went on with her search of the building's exterior (back side) to find ways to get in easily.  She had done attacks with small teams before and she knew what they needed to get in and out of places.  She had taken the back of the building, because that's often where the loading docks and things like that were.  They had to bring in all those big pieces somehow.

"Gas the entire building," she said when Cookie started about the vents (or whatever they were), "I don't think we can get that much gas inside.  How much would we need anyway?"

I've used small unit tactics as knowledge skill to assess the building for suitable entry, as a shadowrun group is essentially that.

@Kitten: If I'm being honest, I'm playing devils advocate to the planning process, probably not the best to do with a team I haven't run with before, but I do not know the full extent of the skills of the others or yourself for that matter, hopefully I haven't put my foot in it.

Silk happily accepts the offer though she'll pretend not to notice it's a flirt for the moment.  She continues boosting the guards' confidence with innocent flattery and compliments.

Gibbon frowned when Cookie mentioned using gas.
@all: >> Don’t like the gas idea, for both practical and personal reasons. Will tell you the practical ones.
>>Amount of gas needed should be calculated by air volume and it’s huge. This makes necessary the use of some medium producing gas. Gas itself would need big canisters. Air circulation must be slow as this is a public building with sensitive stuff inside so we’d need something powerful, meaning expensive. Multiple points of origin should be used, if it comes from one point, by the time it reaches the other end the guards have all the time they need to get the gas masks. That makes installation necessary at multiple places, think at least one per level, which raises the risk of being noticed. Also we are relying on museum’s machinery, if air circulation is stopped gas diffusion slows down.
>>And one last thing. Using gas would surely be considered a terrorist act so it would incur heavier reaction.<<

His reaction to Andromeda’s question was a little bit disappointing. >>Sorry, only have one sensor on me: Mark I Eyeball. Will have to solve things with that. And radar would only show crate sizes, not labels. So, do or don’t?<<

Comms: "My advice'd be to wait with any real suspicious activity for now. Don't want to get caught and risk facing increased security later, at best, if it don't blow the entire mission straight away. "
