Cookie did not notice any movement on Andromeda's part, but, as soon Cookie had taken seat and closed the door, the Shin started to move with a sudden burnout and a 180 degree spin. " I gues we will decide on the way, but if he is ready, them why not start?" A melodic voice sounded out of the cars speakers. "do you think the car would stand out to much in Redmound?"

One sec I'll find out what he's doing, also yeah any car in Redmond that doesn't belong to one of the gangs is going to stand out
As he was nearly wrenched from his as he plugged his seat belt in as the car span round.
note to self: good getaway driver bad casual driver, possibly in a bad mood
@Gibbon: Any chance you can make it earlier than 9 AM, say 8-8:15? Andromeda seems a little bit riled up, thought she calmed down yesterday, although I'm still not sure what qualify's as normal for her yet.
Turning his thoughts to a more darker personal place, or me, considering my outburst last night.

@all: if you need me, let me know where you are and I'll drop by in the astral.  For the rest of the day, I'll be studying.
She quickly downloaded a high quality datasoft on logistics and started reading.  She already knew the basics, but mostly on how they applied to mercenary operations, so it wouldn't hurt her to read up on those parts she wasn't all that familiar with, like storeroom management and such things.  It could never hurt to be prepared.

OOC: I download a rating 6 datasoft.  They have availability - and cost 60 nuyen, so I don't think it will take me all that long to find one.  I then spent the rest of the day studying, unless someone needs me.
PS: Chrona, I'll probably buy up the logistics knowledge skill on 1 after this mission.

With a sigh, Gibbon answered Cookie's text. >>Can try 8:30, not sure though. Might be late a minute or two.<< He then sped up his preparation, grumbling about early morning calls but thought that it might be a good idea to keep whoever was their driver as happy as possible. Yesterday took a toll on Andromeda's patience, and with reason, it wouldn't be wise to continue down that lane.

He arrived at the appointed place at 8:35.

You meet up relatively easily, if not with military precision. That's when the rain hits. It pours it down in the usual stinging way, the ground slippery and slick. -2 to actions for people without relevant chemical protection, vision enhancements and also to driving in this weather.

The driving itself had calmed Andromeda down. Middle trough the way, she disconnected form the car and took the steering wheel in her own hands. Then she started enjoying Cookies Face as she sped by and overtook half of the mornings rush-hours traffic and used gaps in the traffic no normal person would ever risk to do. This was her way to relax. Due to some extra corners and some joy hunting Andromeda arrived 8:30 Sharp, parked 15m from the point Gibbon had sent her and waited, she could have been there sooner, thou she never takes the direct rout, if it is not a life and death question, that is.
@Gibbon >>Arrived, you are welcome to join us.<< she sent gibbon a message applying a AR overlay, so her car would be marked in his vision.

"So Mister Cookie, May i ask how did you came to this designation?" Andromeda asked "if it's something you are willing to share while we are waiting for Mr Gibbon. " She added keeping her mock formal style.
Truth to be told, Andromeda herself did not understood what is going on with her, why the mood swings, why the sudden changes in her behavior. Maybe it was just too much, the last few days have been strange and filled with disappointments.

Cookie finally manged to find a position that allowed him to stay put in his seat  before answering. No issue, it's not really that interesting, short version, I spent sometime working as a chef for a while after the military, things uhh... didn't work out. He paused mid sentence to stare out the window of the car, watching the rain as it came down. The fixer for my first job made a joke about how, well to quote "He cooks, he cleans and and occasionally pulls bullets out of people"...the entire run consisted of them making cooking based puns. sighing to himself as he turned away from the window to check his commlink again. I better apologise to my contact later about mostly wasting there time, maybe if I order some nasties from the ammo box if they have any lying around..

" So next time you cook the grub for the meet. " Andromeda joked, " I hope this time around there will not be any insects in it, for a change"
" whats your take on the new social guy? I personally am inches from electrocuting his ass every time he spouts out some of his bright ideas" she said as if it was yesterday, then quickly added " but it may be  he just came at wrong time."

You better hope this job doesn't land us in the wilderness then, because then it will be pan fried insert insect name here. As for the face, he looks like he's just new to me and it was your friend that recommended him. I will add that for now, I'm willing to give him a chance however he screws this job up for us, he's out, end of story.

Gibbon sent a signal to Andromeda and Cookie as he neared the car. He didn’t want to find himself at gunpoint by trying to open the door without warning. He greeted the others then grumbled some about the weather. ”Hey, morning. Slept well? Hope you brought your shiny rainbow umbrellas, ‘cuz this ain’t seem to stop soon. I hate it when rain’s cold and stings. And I look like an oversized canary in my dandy yellow raincoat.” They could tell he wasn’t a morning person. It was that, or he just had a bad night’s sleep. ”So, let’s go and get over with the job. Coffees on me after we finish.”

Safe parking and Redmond don't really in together. Anywhere in touristville will have the lowest chance of trouble.

"Well Hello there, I will definitely take you up on that. But first the Job." A quick look to Cookie and the Pedal hit the metal. The shin roared and took of leaving a cloud of dust in the air. This might not be the most stealthy way of doing things, but here they did not need to be as stealthy as at their destination. Both of her teammates could clearly see that she enjoyed the ride way too much.

Not much had changed in Andromeda's driving since she picked up Cookie. whit the small exception that she slowed down when they entered Redmond. This was they way all ordinary people drove, and for the ones used to speed this was torture. Slow and Painful torture. When they parked near the destination of the delivery Andromeda asked her both mates "We are here, what now?"

”Now, i hit the streets, and take a walk in this nice weather. I check the place out, maybe from the top of some other building as well, maybe I talk to others hanging around. In the meantime, could you make a circle and check if you can see anything with the car’s sensors? And be ready, there might be need to run. Or run over, depending.” Gibbon looked out of the car dejectedly. He didn’t really have the enthusiasm to be soaked, even if his raincoat was good. ”If you see any bars open on the way around, pass me the coordinates, will you? There might be more people to talk to in there.”

The dwarf was busy while talking. He checked the walls and lampposts for gang signs and tried to remember if he heard about any bigger underworld organization being active in the area.

I could try slipping into the warehouse, see what's locked and what's not, shouldn't be much of a challenge with this. Opening up the bag to pull up the hood of the chameleons suit.

There isn't much Syndicate activity in the Barrens that you know of, at least not this close to Touristville. The local gang colours are black on white, The Brain Eaters.
