Silk briefed the team on what she'd manage to learn from Evangeline. "If they're pulling longer shifts, we can expect a couple more guards than we had anticipated. You know, I'd feel a lot better about this job if we knew we could get into the security room and had access to the systems controlled from there."

Cookie took a moment to consider the implications, furiously typing out a message to the others then sending it.
@all: Implying the guards are possibly longtime longhaul users or have 'ware.  Speaking of which how did checking people over for 'ware go? if they haven't I want to know if the guards seem specifically disorientated to you at any point? or are there are some showing rather obvious signs of being bright and fully alert when they've been on shift for a long while?. Otherwise we'll have to assume implants regardless, not too many drawbacks to those sadly.
Just so you understand fyi longhaul is safe for at least 4 days of use beyond that, well it does bad things to the brains chemistry that can lead to blackouts and eventual death from cerebral hemorrhage.Short version, the point is if any of the guards are taking longhaul and appear to be suffering disorientation at work then going back to being alert, then congratulations you've just found us a longhaul addict, I wonder if they all are.

This message was then followed another a few seconds.
@all: Sorry went off on a tangent there, although I will add that a guard who has developed an addiction, well if they happen to lose their 'medication' this may possibly be useful or it may make them more inclined to cooperate under the right conditions, not that I enjoy doing such things. I just end up suggesting them, probably more than I should.

"My job doesn't give me access to that," Kitten said, "and I'm not as good as Silk in talking myself into locations where I'm not supposed to be.  As for what 'ware the guards have, I'll have a look tomorrow night.  I doubt they will have delta grade and the others will show up on their auras.  But from what I've seen the system is old, and probably completely wired.  Which reminds me, I've made some pictures of the elevator and loading entrance.  Can the more technically proficient people have a look and see how to make sure it doesn't work if we don't want it to.  Other than shooting the controls I mean."

The last was added with a smile, while she sent the pictures she had made.

@all: >>Look, if you want to get intel on what is in the security office, the most simple method is to get a microdrone inside. Kitten can bring one in easily, and get it into ventilation. Those inside the room must have fresh air, so the drone can get in.
And I don’t think those guards would be given meds for simple overtime work once in a while. No sense in that, everyone can bear with a few extra hours if their jobs depend on that. It can even work to our advantage, some of them will be tired.
Oh, and if the ventilation scheme does not work, we can try an alternate route. With security that lax, if the spirits really only go in the office and don’t patrol the corridors, we can easily get someone stealthy enough inside when Kitten checks in. With some help from mojo of course. Invisibility would help, and once a mojoslinger friend of mine asked one of his spirits to do something to help us hide. Between those, my stealth abilities, and technology, I know it would be a piece of cake. Once I’m in there, I have the tools to open either maglocks or mechanical ones, and get a microdrone inside the security room.<<

While waiting for their answers, Gibbon checked out the pictures he received from Kitten. He frowned when he saw the prehistoric stuff in there, he had too much experience with those in Bogota. Still, if there was any sign of alarm systems in there, it would be easier to see.

"The spirits are not only in the office," Kitten said, "I've seen them around from time to time.  While I can probably disrupt one quickly, and have another spirit ready outside for the other, it will alert the controlling mage that his spirits have gone.  So we'll have to be careful about that and not do it too soon.  Also while I can get you inside while invisible, the spirits will see the aura of the spell.  One of the disadvantages of those spells."

She would have to find a way to get someone else inside, but she could think on that for a while.
"As for the bug, get it to me and i'll take it in," she said, "I walked around for almost two hours without anybody checking on me, so that shouldn't be the problem.  I just have to stay out of the cameras, but that's not really an issue."

From what Gibbon can see, the lift is purely mechanical, there would not even be a way to make it remote controlled without running a cable to your commlink, it is not alarmed though.
The gate itself has a number of alarms, electromag plates on the base in case it is pried open and shock sensors on the sides for ramming attempts. It could potentially be wired with a micro transmitter to make it wireless enabled and controllable though, if you could get inside its control panel.

@all: I am on the same page(?) but In medical diagnosis you usually attempt to discover what symptoms are or in this case (when dealing a difficult diagnosis) are not present.

"I don't think those guards use anything more fancy than a stim patch to get through the night," Kitten said, "besides, having to do one or two double shifts isn't all that much of a problem.  I've done much longer without stimulants.  But that does mean there could be more of them.  Shouldn't be a problem as most of them will be inside and we'd rather want everything to happen outside, right."

@all: >>I thought Andromeda would have something like that, the microdrone I mean. Otherwise, we’d have to get one, I don’t have any. A simple off-the-shelf model is all we need.<< Gibbon pinged the rigger's commlink independent of the joint communication as well, to let her know the question related to her.

@all: Hopefully she should, also I' rather have the guards in the building unaware of what's happening ideally or for as long as possible.

Anyone paying attention notices that since all the driving the previous evening, even after popping back alone to Habu to sleep, Romy seems very much to have retreated inside herself, or well, into the Sedan.
When asked, she tells you that the smallest shes got is a Nissan Doberman, not ideal.

Gibbon and Cookies pick up is relatively easy, as far as back alley drop offs go. nothing goes wrong due to you both being the observant and paranoid criminals, I mean professionals that you are.

The man from piemaker does ask for a private word alone with Cookie as he takes the firearm from him though.
Gibbon let me know if you try to eavesdrop.

Gibbon left the other two with a bored expression, feigning disinterest. "Get it over with quickly, if possible, i want to be away ASAP." Of course, when he was some distance away, where he suspected the other two might start talking in undertones, he used his electronic aides to their full capabilities.
for feigning disinterest: CHA(4) + Con: Fast Talk(3) + Empathy(3) (10d6.hits(5)=2) Note: if you don't deem Fast Talk as a usable specialization here, it's 2 dice less, taking away the last two the same number of hits remain.
for listening: INT(5) + Perception(2) + Coprocessor(3) + Enhancement(3) (13d6.hits(5)=5) Note: i also have spatial recognizer, which might help.
Right after her shift Kitten ckecked out the vicinity of the museum, to see where the rest of the team could hide and still do what they had to do.  She had planned small team attacks before, althought not all that often, but she still knew what to look for.  She also checked out the way the truck, if they managed to get it out, would have to go, although Andromeda would have to recheck that part.  As soon as she had everything plotted, she put it all on a map of the surroundings, with suggested spots of everybody on it, so that the matrix support was close by, but concealed in a location that was accessible by car (he could stay in the car to get away quickly and even run interferance if needed).  People who needed to get to the truck had to be closer by, out of sight until needed but with sight on the truck to see when to get in.

Now she just needed to find a way for herself to get out, but that could wait after she had had some rest.

I assume this knowledge skill applies.
