So here's the character's background. Let me know if it interests you and then I'll crunch the numbers for you.
François St-Martin was born and raised in Paris. The son of 2 working parents, he had a “normal” childhood, going to school and playing with his friends like every child does. It wasn’t until the age of 12 that he realized there was something real about those Kombat Karl movies: there was an energy he could feel flowing through his body, something he could try and channel to his benefit.
He slowly but surely learned to harness this energy to his benefit, making his interactions easier with other people, tipping the balance in his favour when it came to persuasion. Deciding to pursue the possibilities this gift might confer to him, François decided not to further his academic ambitions and turned to a mentor, someone that could help perfect his mastery of the mystical ways. For the next 3 years, François studied diligently, seeing the possibilities opening before his eyes.
After his apprenticeship was over, he sent out to find a high-paying job. Talking his way into the door, he quickly found himself a CCO job at an up-and-starting biotech company, Industries BioPharm. François was living like only upper-management can, and soon fame and fortune seeped into every aspect of his life. He was attending all the hottest fashion parties, being on every VIP list to the most exclusive clubs, even commissioning the occasional runs for his company (although he never actually went to the meetings).
As is so common with these things, François was getting bolder and bolder. He eventually ended up having a relationship with the CEO’s wife, Mrs. Mailloux. After a few months, François was discovered and quickly dismissed. Feeling brazen and wrongfully terminated, he decided to steal corporate secrets before leaving the company and offering them to the highest bidder. He soon found takers in BioPharm’s work, but no company wanted to hire someone who could turn around and sell their old employer down the river.
With the proceeds from the sale of these secrets, François turned to the shadows, modestly equipping himself with what he could find, looking for work, trying to find another way back into high-society’s good graces.
