I stumbled across laser weapons in Arsenal, and I immediately had one question. Can you use mirrors to bounce the laser around corners and whatnot?

I don't think so, I'd imagine they're too powerful to reflect like that. Instead, they would probably just burn through the mirror.

That's what I thought. Worth asking though. Cause how cool would that be?   ;D

The other bit could be, that 1, the surface of the mirror would have to be completely perfectly clean or any little bit on the mirror would cause defraction and catch fire. And the other would be, the surface of the mirror would have to be flawless, so your average house mirror would cause the laser to diffuse and immediately begin blooming losing much of its power, if the mirror didn't just catch fire from other impurities.

In that case, I'm pretty sure everything would be reduced to soap bubbles, pretty sure. Just like a genie comes out when you twist the spray setting half way on a spray bottle.

Oh, but imagine the possibilities of a drone rigged with a perfectly machined mirror setup to crate an omnidirectional turret.

That's pretty much word for word a hard science laser turret.

That would appear to be some sort of series of defusers and refractors, pretty much the opposite of weaponizing lasers, looks cool though.

I was actually trying to find a clip of Metalocalypse, when the spinning laserbeam diced the whole London Philharmonic. Engage the laserbeam!

This is why you don't let fatty dingdongs near the expensive laser.

I'd like to know of laser weapons make a sound.

Other then the runner making mouth noises. "Ptchooo Ptchooo"

In atmosphere a laser would make a sound as it vaporizes the air around the beam, and then the air would then rush back in to fill that void.

Then of course, the capacitors of the laser would probably make some sort of discharge sound. Though I'm less certain of that.
