Just recently my hard disk died on me, then just as I fixed (replaced) it the display broke (it's a notebook).

That's what I assumed. Only because the Persona mentioned his meat body had died. How that can be possible is still a wonder for Kyo.
The Adept is another story not sure he was working with the hacker, but if he lit the fire as I suspect then yes they were working together.

Possible, but improbable.
I think he let through some clues that lead to meta information, but since I don't know cr4ckp0ts style of play, I cant say for sure.

Also it felt to me that it was plot relevant that I lost that guy, otherwise I would've been asked to roll for all the additional tricks I said I try.
(eg slipping the sensor round)

But all in all that long developed feel for meta information may just be wrong because I'm new to the PbP scene and as mentioned I don't know cr4ckp0t.
