My laptop is dying, so I want to do it right and buy a laptop worth keeping for a while. Here's what I'm hoping to get :

Touch screen
Nvidia gpu
i7 cpu

I don't feel like I'm asking for too much, but it's autoroute hard to find touch screen laptops that aren't crappy ultrabooks with terrible integrated graphics. Any assistance would be appreciated.

What do you want to do with it?

You could try ticking a few options here and see what comes up.

That is such an excellent question.  I can't really commit.  I guess I'm aiming for somewhere between a gaming laptop and an ultrabook.

Go with xoticpc.com and get a sager laptop. I have a sager and so far I have had zero problems with it in the 1 and half I had it.

Do they have touchscreens? I was looking at a msi gt70,but it isn't touchscreen. I also looked at the new hp 15t-j000 quad edition, but it only has a 740m, which I had hoped would be better. It would probably be perfect for me of I could just convince myself that I'm not shopping for a gaming laptop.

Side question : do we have any idea what sort of specs are needed to run Shadowrun returns?

I finally ordered a laptop last night.  I got the HP 15t-j000 Quad Edition.  It has a 4th generation i7-4702mq, Nvidia GT 740M, 1TB Hybrid hdd and a 24GB mSATA acceleration drive, 8GB of DDR3-12800, backlit keyboard, bluetooth 4.0, and... probably other stuff I'm forgetting to mention.  Not what I was hoping for, but pretty good(especially for only $1033).  Hopefully this will last until someone comes out with a real gaming laptop with a touchscreen display.

Touch screen and gaming don't really mix.... Unless you are playing crappy Facebook/ITunes/Istore games. But if you are playing those, why pay for the power and proformance of a portable gaming rig???
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Amusingly, that its most people's response.  I'll point out that I never said anything about using the touchscreen to game.  The only game I can think of that I might use the touchscreen for is the new Shadowrun games, as both are designed to be used on tablets.

CivV supports touchscreen gaming. When/if I pick up a Surface Pro I'm going to give it a whirl.

Absolute power is kinda neat.
