Quite a lot of drugs in the modern world have that effect. Large amounts of alchohol for one def work (personal experience speaking here!). Benzodiazepines are pretty well known for memory suppressing too.

I have seen the memory wiping powers of alcohol fist hand, although never experienced it. lol the nanites wouldn't have a adverse effect on an awakened?

no, they're only temporary. they float around in your bloodstream and unless maintained by an implanted nano-hive they'll be out of your system in a week (these are only low rating)
